- Another disturbance! |
|
The hurricane season is not done yet, A low pressure system currently south of Haiti and heading West to West NorthWest is producing showers and thunderstorms and a tropical depression could form in the next couple of days. Flooding is possible as this system moves closer to Jamaica. This system will most likely affect Southern Parishes with rainfall, some winds and thunderstorms in the first part of the week. We are hoping it stays a disturbance while it passes Jamaica. Be safe! PS: Great find Gert!

Tropical Depression Nine will now be named Ian. The name Hermine has been taken by a new storm that has formed near Africa. Jamaica is now under a Tropical Storm watch, which means Tropical Storm conditions are possible within 48hrs. A hurricane watch has also been issued for the Cayman Islands. Tropical Depression Nine is being hampered by some upper level winds, it will move out of that area soon for it to be able to strengthen and become a Tropical Storm. Be safe! Mr. K.
