Cheers from Cape Cod

Dreaming of a Caribbean escape for the summer, most likely back to Barbuda, Seeking a house swap anywhere. My Cape Cod place is best for a couple or solo who wouldn’t mind the company of the sweetest, quietest cat. A beach jeep is included.

When I consider the weather and environmental concerns in the islands, I am still watching the overgrowth of Sargassum. Also, does it seem windier? Our time on ANU and BBQ was the windiest I have seen in 37+ years.

A little reminder to our collective, it’s time to make a small contribution if you can, to the webmaster Gert. I have been a member of this community for quite some time and truly appreciate all the reports.

One love to all

I am on Barbuda for some business and pleasure. It is the first time back since
the fateful day, Irma hit. 5 years later, I was inspired by the resilience of
the people and the way things appeared, from the physical. So many new roofs
are intact but a few tarps remain. Lots of debris around but overall, a
positive experience shared by many locals as they regain footing after massive
devastation.

Weather has been really windy and with rough seas. The nights are chilly and
the sea, well, a tad too cool for me but I did enjoy a sea bath, daily.

One love
