Subject: Hurricane Season
It's been a year + since I was in the lovely Caribbean. Who could believe a year
ago what would transpire in our lives. I appreciate this community and trust you
are all well.
My friend Rob from Crown Weather posted his Hurricane Update
My forecast for the 2021 Hurricane season has been posted on the Crown Weather
website.
In summary, I am forecasting above average tropical storm and hurricane season
activity due to a combination of La Nina conditions becoming neutral ENSO
conditions, the forecast of an active Western African Monsoon, the forecast of
above average ocean water temperatures and the possibility of lower than average
wind shear conditions. Unlike last year, I think the 2021 may feature much more
in the way of long-track tropical storms and hurricanes.
On a personal note, I am planning to return soon. I no longer own property and
that is freeing so I'd love to do a housing swap, this summer.
I love nature and I would like to go birding and also hiking trails and
waterfalls. Iâ??m looking to swap my Cape Cod home with someone in the
Caribbean.
Iâ??m fully vaccinated and will only travel to an island that allows tourism and
do not wish to skip over any protocols. PM to discuss. I have a sweet cat to
love and a beach jeep to use. Seeking a Wild Caribbean respite.
Thanks all

Sending love to Isabel and prayers for her partner’s healing. Love to all in this awesome community. Whilst I am no longer a resident of Bonaire, my heart is in the islands.
Be safe, be well, feel ease

Dear Weather Community,
I am grateful to be a member of this group. The weather is certainly exciting but also deeply concerning, considering some communities are still struggling with the aftermath of last year’s storms and before
that..deeply concerning are The Abacos.
I want to thank Gert for creating this forum and kindly remind all, to consider donating whatever you can to help Gert defray the costs of the hosting and internet fees.
Much love to all,

Greetings Caribbean Weather Spotters,
How is the sargassum, in your neck of the woods? Reports from a friend in Antigua reveals nuisance patch.
Watching news as islands slowly open up, post lock down. My dream of getting back to the islands is dim right now but it seems fair and correct to let things unfold slowly. AA is not social distancing on flights and the mere thought of sitting side by side
to another human creates anxiety.
Friends flew home from Bonaire last week. The only possible routing was Bonaire, Amsterdam, London then Boston.
Be well,
Ann Phelan

Greetings Caribbean Community and Weather Watchers,
I relocated back to Cape Cod, full time but my heart remains in the Caribbean. Instead of being a
homeowner, I seek to swap, pet sit and rent properties, throughout the year. I am keenly aware of the economic, social and emotional impact COVID 19 and recovery from devastating storms has had on the Caribbean islands and am hopeful for a calm season, weather
wise.
The photos of the Sahara dust are tremendous. It seems the worst I have ever seen but those with
more experience in the weather may comment.
If anyone cares to visit Cape Cod and swap, when life becomes easier and safer to travel, do connect.
I am also available to pet or house sit, again, when travel is allowed.
Being mindful, focused on the positives.
Annie
