After several weeks with no rain, St Maarten finally is getting rain. We have had rain on and off all day. It's been cloudy and cool, and everyone is loving it.

It's been a long time since I have seen so much rain. My rain gauge showed 6 inches in about 5 hours.
It just didn't stop. Roads were flooded everywhere.

There is a lot of heavy rain on the island right now. We are under a flood watch and my house is leaking.

Good morning
Earl has basically been a non event here on St Maarten, thankfully. Today is quite windy and overcast, and the seas are rough, but we have had little rain.
The Caribbean islands lucked out on Earl.

We are currently experiencing a heavy thunderstorm. Lots of rain, wind, and thunder. We haven't had this in a very long time.
Tis the season.
We do need the rain but not too much at one time please.

Hello
The weather in St Maarten is hot and dry. We really need rain but we won’t get any with all the Saharan dust covering us today.
Those of us with allergies are not feeling so good today. And it will be worse tomorrow and Thursday.
