This morning and early afternoon the north of the island experienced some prolonged heavy rainfall. This resulted in some extreme flooding in several communities in Castries and Gros Islet as well as some small landslides.

Some videos can be viewed on the Prime Minister's fb page.
Hope this link works.

I also saw the Dominica also had flooding and major slides. Check Emo News on fb.

GFS and EURO models showing potential for more heavy rainfall on Monday and Tuesday. God help us all.

Stay safe and dry folks.

I'm no met so I wish one would explain this loop swirly feature over the eastern Caribbean and VI.
Whatever it is is causing some thunderstorms and heavy downpours in Saint Lucia.

Let's keep the people in the path of Julia in mind for relief and donations.

Stay safe and dry

- What was that

This morning I woke up to heavy rain, lightning and thunder at 3am.  The rain continued unabated till after 5am. Daylight imitating lightning and house shaking thunder.  We lost power three times in a 2hr period.
This upper level trough mixed in with ITCZ moisture led to copious rainfall that caused flooding in the capital and other areas.

Weather forecast calls for more of the same till Friday. Hopefully not as much rain here because the soils are SATURATED.
Thinking of all those who have been impacted by Ian already and those soon to feel it's wrath.

God Bless and Be Safe

Another week,
but this one looks to be a bit drier than last.
Saturday in the North actually was a beautifull day. This after Friday
afternoon and evening was a mess of rain with flooding in the south of the
island.
Sunday was just great also
Looking forward to a peacefull week at least

Hi All, This morning woke up to rainy conditions, but for the better part of
the day up north was not too bad
Just on and off showers.
Currently up at Plateau, Babonneau pouring rain, a bit of a breeze with a few
gusts..
Visibility is not far: unable to see Rodney Bay right now... we are in the
clouds eh

Hopeing all will stay inside, do not stravel unless necessary.
Most of all keep safe and keep dry
Most of this systems seems to be passing south of us

Hi All

Driving back from Vieux Fort yesterday late afternoon was a miserable drive in

Today we woke up to rain which is much needed here as everything was beginning to turn brown with lack of water. Secondly the local water company is up to their old tricks again and we have not had water in the pipe for 5 days now! I am keeping an eye on the disturbance out in the Atlantic that is beginning to form into a tropical depression/storm. When I went shopping early this morning, people were talking about it and looked to be making preparations.
We are sorting ourselves out here in the house and checking things, but I am not going to worry too much until I see the forecast from the NHC later today/early tomorrow.

Keep safe and dry!

Sue

Hello wx watchers,
It's early in the season but Tis The Season after all.
All eyes right.  Incoming low rider. Hope it stays weak. and drifts north to share some of the rain with our sisters and brothers who need the sky juice.
Stay safe.

Been raining here most of the day in Marigot, to be honest we need it, been sat indoors most of the day as the rain is persistent and fairly heavy.
Seems tomorrow is forecast to be the same.

Keep warm everyone ( seems strange saying that in the Caribbean!)
