Earl was just two weeks ago. Here we go again.. hoping for the storm to change it's direction even a little bit so we get less of an impact.
Some folks are getting some items in preparation today. One store I was in had a long line at the checkout and lots of bottled water was being purchased.  The evening forecast has it moving away a bit more hopefully it will keep heading in that direction. We are under a  tropical storm watch.  My avocado pear tree is laden but they are not big enough really, the drought this summer has slowed their growth. With Earl, I had about  20 casualties from the tree. Praying this does not cause many to drop. They need till the end of October.
Will send another message tomorrow once we hear the morning update.
Stay safe Carib Storm friends.

Bermuda starting to pay attention. I expect people will begin prep soon. If
it is going to be a cat 3 we will have to board up. Tomo is a public holiday
for the queens funeral.

Greetings from Bermuda

We had a bit of weather yesterday and today. Around 10 last night, thunder and
lightning ensued. Today, it was off and on rain showers. We did have a few
hours of hot sun to bake us a bit at the beach. Presently, the skies are pretty
dark and light showers are present. We have been to many beaches and there is
no sargassum evident. Many news sources covering this environmental crisis.

Be well

Cheer from Bermuda

It’s been 9 years since I was on island. I have been here about 30+ times since
my first trip in 90. This is the first August I have spent on island. It’s hot!
The landscape appears parched. The grass is brown in yards and on the golf
greens. There is barely a breath of wind. The sea is glorious. I sought respite
here from the crowds on Cape Cod. We are watching possible shower activity for
the next few days but reading other posts here and my favorite forecaster,
Crown Weather, things seem quiet in the tropics. May your day be blessed with a
nice rain shower and sunshine as well
