Good morning,

So we are looking at all model's showing of future hurricane Lisa hitting the
coast of Belize. After living in the Cayman Islands for five years, when my
wife and I moved to Belize we wisely chose to not live on the coast but inland.
However, we did move fairly close to a river, so now we deal with flooding
instead of storm surge.

The hamlet that we live in is having a little town meeting this morning to
organize helping with the neighbour’s who live right along the Belize river
getting anything low and not tied down, moved to higher ground. We may, or may
not flood; but always better to be safe than sorry.

We are hoping that we do not experience “Julia” like flooding again, here is a
picture which shows what the flooding was like about 12 hours before the peak
during Julia. So we are really crossing our fingers that “Lisa” doesn’t bring
lots of rain.
