We’re in the middle of Elsa now.
In Bequia it’s not too bad, the morning was quiet with a steady breeze and mostly drizzle. Around noon the sea on the Atlantic side picked and it’s really wild with huge waves and lots of foam and froth. At the waves start to curl the wind carries the spray in the opposite direction. The wind is gusty and the trees are all thrashing about and we are getting thunder every so often. I dashed out to check the rain gauge and we’ve had an inch of rain.
The sky is looking a little threatening and a little less gloomy. The islands that I couldn’t see all morning are now visible though hazy. From the animated satellite photo, I’m thinking we are in the middle of it, so there will be more wind and rain for the next few hours.
I hope St. Vincent isn’t getting deluged.
