Hrand Cayman 6:30am local. Strong winds and battering rain for the last hour seems to have eased for the moment. Power outages. Cell signal also out briefly.
A while since we had the shutters up and they needed some effort.
Dave Robinson, waiting for the nearest approach…

We are safe but getting pounded right now. Power lines, trees, etc snapped off.
Another 6-8 hours to go! Thankful for cistern water and propane! More updates
when possible.
Stay safe everyone, don’t underestimate any storm!
Kind regards,
John

- Waiting for Grace

Good evening everyone.
Location is George Town near Owen Roberts Airport.

It has been a long time since I posted and on checking my email, it shows it was back in 2015.

Waiting with anticipation to see what Grace will throw at us.  The 11pm bulletin indicates we could experience hurricane conditions tomorrow morning.

As luck would have it, I discovered this evening that the anemometer on my Davis Vantage Pro2 decided to "bite the bullet". It is spinning, so the sensor is the likely cause. I do have a spare unit but it was too late to attempt installing it.  UGH!
I will report when able.

Have a restful night.

William
