| - Nov. 30 - End of the Official Hurricane Season |

However, it refuses to go out quietly. There is a disturbance 90L which is hanging around by Central America, looking rather fiery at the moment. The NHC is not even watching it, at least it’s not on the map, yet it is an Invest. Don’t understand. I hope that for the sake of the folks in that vicinity, it will vanish. As for me it is time to say goodbye. I have been with you every day since June 1st. I’ve enjoyed keeping everyone updated and sharing my photos of the day. My husband had to go to the ER today, is still there as I write. No one is permitted inside with the patient, so after sitting outside for a long spell admiring the puffy clouds, I came home trying to keep in touch via texting. It looks as if we are going to be in for an ordeal as we approach the last weeks of a very dramatic 2020. If I’m alive and kicking next June, I shall tune in, however, it will probably be on a modified scale. In other words, not everyday. If anything ferocious should show up in our vicinity, you will hear from me. Anyway, I’m open to receiving emails. Be well, be happy, be Covid-free, and may God bless us all. | - Nov. 28 - Our Hurricane Season |

I must say we had the quietest hurricane season ever. At the beginning we heard all these ominous predictions for the season that were most worrisome but the one that worried me the most was that the Caribbean had a good chance of a major hurricane going through. Well, it turned out that everyone was wrong. The “small” number of storms that were predicted by the usual experts turned out to be much greater than anything anyone could imagine. Not only did we exhaust all the names used in our alphabet, but went on to almost exhaust the Greek alphabet for a total of 31 storms, many hurricanes and quite a few major hurricanes. We, thankfully, did not get a major hurricane going through the Caribbean, but had tropical waves passing through, then becoming major hurricanes affecting Central America, Cuba, Florida, and up the coast. Many people died this hurricane season. It was a terrible year for many. Covid-19 was another terror which ruined the perfect 2020 vision I had for this year, but as far as the end of the year itself, there is still hope that it will end well. It looks as if the H Season refuses to quit by the 30th. One system is above us and the other is threatening the Canaries. These are expected to be alive and kicking through the first week of December. I will be alive and kicking too, I hope, but my hurricane activity ends on the 30th. Of course, I will still keep alert for anything in our vicinity worth reporting as I usually promise. I have never had to tune in again, but this year 2020 could be different as it has proven to be from the very beginning. Have a good night and may God bless us all. Can’t be! Did I really hear what I heard from Meteorologist Ruben Garcia? The only worrisome thing was a storm near Costa Rica, basically Central America again. Let’s hope that’s not what I heard. In the meanwhile the weather here could not be better for the locals and any vacationers. The temp is in the 80’s everyday, but nights are very pleasant, nice and cool for me. I hope this day was a happy one for all. It’s not about the turkey, its about giving thanks to Our Father in Heaven for everything. Weather wise, we should be thankful that we were not touched by any of the 31 storms, a record-breaker, this year. And many of us can say that we, nor our loved ones have been touched by Covid-19. Yet, we always have to be prepared for any challenge. It does not mean that we are loved any less by Him who created us. So, let’s forge on, one day at a time, and always be thankful for what we have. Even those who have less, can be thankful for they have more than others. Those who have very little should be thankful for its better than nothing. May each day be a day of Thanksgiving and may God bless us all. The Season and the month is rapidly coming to an end. What a Time it has been! And what a Time it will be in the near future. We can be THANKFUL for so many things, but especially that we are still here today in spite of such a rough Season for so many of our brothers and sisters in other places. I wish you all a wonderful, joyful, Thanksgiving Day. Feed at least one hungry person tomorrow and you will indeed be blessed. If you can’t, then keep such folks and those who feed them in your thoughts and prayers. The new - old disturbance I mentioned yesterday is looking to become a subtropical system earning the next name in the Greek Alphabet. It is heading upwards away from the islands. A tropical wave came off the coast of Africa yesterday. I hope it bears no bad news if it crosses the Tropical Atlantic. Be well, be safe, be Covid free. May God bless us all. X marks the spot, the area of disturbance above Hispaniola. The NHC deemed it worth of a 10% chance of developing. We shall keep an eye on it. Have a happy Sunday. May God bless us all. We can almost rest assured that the activity is over. But then I could be talking too soon. The only system is between the coast and Bermuda. I must admit that another area of disturbed weather is being monitored, however, it´s reduced to 10% and not getting anywhere much. So that´s good news. This could really be the end of the hurricane season of 2020, but let us be cautiously optimistic and not rush to put away all hurricane preparedness items, just in case. May God bless us all. Let´s hope we are seeing the end of this hurricane season! There are folks who are still picking up the pieces from the time the battering began. Now there are many more with the two major hurricanes that crawled through Central America. These next days let us pray and be truly thankful for life. Between Covid-19 and the hurricane fatalities all over the world, it has been horrific. Continue to practice social distancing and wear the mask, and do not let your guard downs storms happen even outside of the hurricane season. May God bless us all. Isabel, CLOUDS are fascinating. Perhaps beyond the extent which is Nov. 30th. There are two new systems which are being monitored by the NHC. One is off the coast of Panama and the other between the Northeast coast and Bermuda. The next name will be Kappa if it gets to that point. That would be the 10th letter of the Greek alphabet as Jeff Masters reports on his blog. Please read. IOTA was the 30th storm of the season! While our weather has been extremely quiet, our neighbors to the southwest are being pummeled by Category 5 hurricane IOTA and right behind it with a 40% chance is another potential storm. Unbelievable! Another storm forming in the same location as IOTA, moving westward or southwestward. How are those folks able to survive such monsters! When it this season finally going to end! This season is pushing us to the edge. Who is going to be bold enough to tell the H Season that the 30th is the last day. No more storms! Yet as I say that I must inform those who do not know as yet that there is another system with potential in the same spot where ETA and IOTA started in the Caribbean. Unbelievable! IOTA is getting ready to bulldoze into Central America, moving at 9 mph, it will be a Category 4 hurricane when it makes landfall on Tuesday. Just awful. So, it is not over until it is over. Or is it.? I heard it can go to December. I would not be surprised. There’s a weather system approaching the islands. It does not seem to hold any interest for the NHC, so it should be just rain. I worry about the folks in Central America. IOTA is looking to become a major hurricane. Let’s remember them in our prayers. On it’s way to Central America! What a shame! That’s one thing they don’t need. We got a lot of rain out if even as it has long exited A parochial school principal canceled school today because of bad weather and this is it: Not bad, huh? Much later in the day the clouds rolled in again and dumped more rain on the northern islands. We are more south. I haven’t seen such HEAVY rain in a lonnnnnnnng time! It’s quiet now, but I understand there’s more to come. The Weather Channel is giving us a 70% chance of rain tonight through Wednesday and a 50% on Thursday. Then it should clear until the following week when there are three more days of rain. I don’t mind the rain, but I do mind where it’s going as a Tropical Storm or worse. According to Dave 130 people died in Central America with ETA. This one could be going there too. A pity! This Tropical Wave which has been passing us with a lot of spotty rain is destined to become a storm in the next five day; hard to believe. VITEMA sent out an alert about the encroaching weather with lots of rain and flash flooding. The private school where my daughter teaches is prepared to close tomorrow if it comes to that. Some areas of the island gets more easily flooded than others. We shall see what tomorrow brings. In the meanwhile, weather wise it is quiet, but the tree frogs are having a heck of a concert. At the moment we are getting some heavy rain. This is from 97L, the new Invest. Unfortunately it looks as if it’s headed for the same region as ETA in Central America and most likely Jamaica. Thank you, Correspondent in Jamaica for those amazing photos/videos of the flooding and even a crocodile. And you only got rain bands from ETA!! I hope and pray that you are not affected too much by 97L. We are in the path of this new invest which can become the next cyclone in 5 days. May God bless us all. It does not look good for that region. Let’s hope that our family and friends are prepared for whatever comes. At the same time, another tropical system is already mentioned as moving through the Caribbean, looks like more to our south, almost along the same path. I hope I got that wrong. Yes, it seems as if it wants to come around this way. We just got another of those brief showers. They certainly are keeping grass, weeds, and bush healthy. Thankfully ETA is suppose to weaken considerably. And if anything, the weather experts are calling for a possible Tropical Storm which eventually will disintegrate into just plain rain for many. There are other waves coming off the coast of Africa which have some people wondering if the storms will suddenly stop on the 30th. We shall see. May God bless us all! Isabel |

ETA is beating up on Nicaragua and Honduras. One can only imagine what those folks must be going through. We know what it is to live through powerful hurricanes, but mountainous lands are very dangerous when inches of rain are expected. Mudslides have buried many lives. This is one of the biggest dangers with ETA. We on the other hand have been getting some moisture every now and then from ETA which is so far from us, but so huge. Folks in Florida must watch this one as they are now in the cone of uncertainty. Be safe everyone. May God bless us all.

At this time it could be packing winds of 155 mph. Nicaragua and Honduras are in for a terrible beating and life-threatening surge. There could be even up to 20ft waves. When it recurves it has three options, one of them is in this direction! It brings back memories of “wrong way LENNY”; hope that does not happen again. Last night the Blue Moon was so bright that it was impossible to get a good photo even though the sky was clear. So, this morning before it disappeared I tried once more. The phrase “once in a Blue Moon” is used when something happens very seldom, like the moon last night. What is happening far too often this year are the storms. I understand that ETA may become catastrophic and cause a lot of deaths. It is forecast to make more than one landfall. So, for the correspondent who complains of too much rain, is it better to have hurricanes instead? Thank God that it’s only rain. It has an 80% chance of earning that name. Probably by tomorrow it will be official. In the meanwhile, Hurricane Zeta caused destruction on it’s path especially at landfall in Louisiana, the fifth storm to do so, then it curved around behind the Carolinas, on to D.C As Tropical Depression then up the coast where it became snow. My grandson in D.C. got rain all day and my granddaughter in Boston got snow all day. Now, with 96L we barely got any substantial rain, while Dominica got the biggest rain event of the season and Puerto Rico, according to my cousin, had all the works and lost power. I hope the Central American Countries are keeping a close eye on this and are fully prepared. May God bless us all.

That’s right! It passed, or rather it’s passing through here on it’s way to getting named. This will be a more southern storm. In the meanwhile Hurricane ZETA walloped DC as a Depression with an all-day event, where my grandson is studying at GWU. He said storms always manage to find him no matter where he is. We are getting spotty showers every now and then. The plants are happy and so are the tiny tree frogs. The more it rains the louder they sing and compete with each other. There’s another area of concern being monitored south of Jamaica, and there’s a very fiery-looking wave entering the Caribbean Sea. Our rain percentage is up to 60 for tomorrow, if so, we can be having some serious rain. Jamaica has some serious flooding concerns in the near future. We have some days of rain in the forecast, but that does not always materialize due to circumstances beyond the Weatherman’s control. At the moment the vegetation is growing so fast with past rains that you can see it growing even as you trim. Everything gets overgrown very fast in the tropics when it rains. Our gardener does not have a fixed schedule but when he comes he does an impeccable job. We are so thankful that we have not had to deal with any storm this year, so far, but as Dave said, we still have a few weeks left in the official season which runs until Nov. 30. Who would have thought we would get this far into the Greek Alphabet. We contacted a friend in Greece and told him about it but he didn’t seem very impressed. They don’t know much about hurricanes and much less about giving them names. I must say that’s one crazy alphabet. I’ll take the A, B, C........ any day. ZETA wants to copycat DELTA. WHAT a pity! Hopefully that’s it now. A Tropical Wave is coming our way. We expect rain from overnight tonight and for the next couple of days if it does not fizzle. I feel sorry for that region so battered already and now another storm. I hope and pray that everyone will be safe. We are surrounded by all kinds of colorful satellite imagery, but only getting a spotty shower once in a long while. I am currently watching with the regional meteorologists the upcoming wave from Africa which is forecast to pass through the Caribbean by next week. There is something looming for the beginning of November for the Caribbean, but the meteorologist Ruben Garcia of Puerto Rico said it’s too far away to even report on it, but if it shows with time that it will be something of concern, it will be monitored closely. So we hope. This season has been beyond active. Nine hurricanes! And many more storms than predicted at the beginning of the season. From here on we should be calming down. We have had some beautiful weather, with just a brief shower now and then. It does not look as if the two waves crossing are coming to us; they look a bit low. Covid -19 on the other hand is picking up again in many countries. Our territory had one more death this past week bringing the total to 21. We still wear masks. We still should keep an eye on Epsilon as Gert said. This can change rapidly into a threat as has happened in the past. I could not believe how fast that happed with LAURA. After a couple of days of heavy rain on and off we very able to dry out on Sun Day! There some rather large looking waves coming from Africa, but Dave does not expect them to develop out there, rather, they could do so in the Caribbean. 94L does not seem to be moving around much, but it does have a high chance of being the next name storm. I think we got our share, perhaps even more than the 2 inches. It is raining now again as I write this update. There are a couple of other blobs heading this way as well, but the two potential name storms that the NHC is watching should be of concern to many people beyond our shores. May God bless us all. At the moment it’s quiet and clear. I was just outside looking up at the starry sky. However, Ruben Garcia, Meteorologist from Puerto Rico said the rain is coming. It still seems far away, but should be here by late tomorrow according to the NHC. Gert has also given us a “heads up” about it as well. Wind shear and some dry air has inhibited this system from becoming a name storm. We have been truly fortunate to have escaped any strong storm this season, however, it’s not over. We must watch and pray that we can survive it and COVID-19. There is information coming out about the development of a name storm in the South Western Caribbean which could possibly track towards Hispaniola, Cuba, and Florida. G’night, All! According to the National Hurricane Center 93L has been reduced to a strong tropical wave. It will arrive in the Lesser Antilles on Wednesday, Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico on Thursday with heavy rain and gusty winds. It will move on to Hispaniola on Friday. Wind shear will be our saving grace. If it passes that unfavorable area unscathed then we can be looking at the next Greek name storm. If it’s sheared we can still expect some rain out of it. We are keeping an eye on it. Today it dropped from 20 to 10% potential. It could already be experiencing wind shear. Would be good if it can make it here with more rain. We shall find out in the coming days. I heard today that 2005 also had a record number of storms the last one being ZETA. We would have to have three more to break that record. Here we are at the second peak of the hurricane season and as if on cue along comes another system from Africa with cyclonic potentials. However, from what I’m hearing it’s going to run into unfavorable conditions by the time it gets nearer to us in about 5 days. It seems to be quieting down out there in the Tropical Atlantic, but what a horrific assault on the Mexican Peninsula, especially Cancun by DELTA. And now it moves on to hurricane-weary Louisiana and Mississippi, the magnets of the season. Let’s hope and pray more that this will be the last, or at least, that whatever else comes will be milder. Our concern right now in St. Croix is about the earthquakes; there were three of them today between St. John and St. Croix. Is there a BIG one, perhaps, in the near future? May God bless us all. This is really going to the extreme! Twenty six storms with more to go. The only thing that can stop this barrage of storms must be a dust storm. Right? Well, I just saw an update on YouTube about a Saharan Dust storm that will go all the way to North America. I really feel sorry for Louisiana and Mississippi. This latest threat is expected to increase to a Cat. 4 hurricane. We have been getting rain in passing from all the systems to our south. They all mean business. So far, their business has not been with us. We are thankful that we at least get some rain when they are passing by. Today was mostly overcast, with a shower here and there. We expect this trend to continue with the next potential storm half way across the Atlantic. TS GAMMA is thrashing Mexico. Florida could be the target for the one following. There seems to be an endless flow of tropical waves from Africa. We pray that we can escape the “major”hurricane that was predicted for the Caribbean. May God bless us all. The twenty fifth storm of 2020 followed soon by the 26th! It passed us to the south today sending a bit of rain our way. It is also going to become a name storm. And as SuperDave said in his post today it’s not over yet. Other waves are falling off the coast of Africa. This is not the time to let our guard down. Yes, we are expecting this kind of weather for a good part of October judging from the reports I’ve been hearing. We are getting the much needed rain. And yet, the sun always come through. We watch in suspense as once again this time the Greek storms are heading for the Gulf States, and perhaps Florida which is deemed as “high risk” this time around. We wish everyone well. Can’t believe it, but it’s true. We managed to get through the month without a devastating storm. Will that be the same for October? This time the waves are coming this way. Our rainy season is finally here. Rain, lightning, thunder is becoming a common thing. Right now we are having another mini wave hammering at us. All eyes are now focused on the Western Caribbean for the potential development of the vigorous tropical wave which passed us on Sunday night. We got heavy rain and gusty winds. Another vigorous-looking system will be approaching the islands by the weekend. According to some experts there should be at least two more cyclones. We pray that that will shall not be the case. As I write we have a strong tropical wave overhead. It is visible on the satellite imagery. We haven’t had this type of weather for a long time. It’s almost verging on a Depression type, but I could be exaggerating. It is definitely the kind of rain that leads to flooding. The forecast is for this to continue during the next few hours. The next days also have a high percentage of rain until the system moves away. This system is being monitored for possible development farther on in the Caribbean. The wind is quite strong as well.. The cold cloud tops have descended. It is very cool. I wonder how much the temp dropped. Gusty wind and heavy rain. It is nice to have this kind of weather at night when most people are at home. However, rain is in the forecast for the next days. We haven’t had rain as often as in past rainy seasons, so this is most welcome. For the second peak of the hurricane season something more is expected, possibly a storm/hurricane to the Caribbean, and unfortunately another one forming in the Western Caribbean which will be heading to the GOM again. Weather models insist in upcoming tropical cyclone through the Caribbean. That information is from NOAA via one of their weather experts to the Hispanic Community. Perhaps this is the major hurricane that was predicted early on in one of the hurricane season updates. This is expected to come from Africa over the Caper Verde Islands as shown in the cone. This is so peaceful. Sunny days, blended with puffy clouds, sometimes rain, always the evening concert of the happy tree frogs. Hard to think that this is the most active month, but there is a second peak, let’s not forget. October promises to be active, perhaps even November. We should just bask in this awesome quiet and hope it remains so. In the meanwhile I have grown accustomed to your face wearing a mask. Will I ever see your smile again? My grandson and his mom were taking a selfie on the Brooklyn Bridge, with their masks on, and he wondered why they were smiling at the camera; in addition they were wearing sunglasses. That’s what is keeping anything else from developing, according to Ruben Garcia, meteorologist, but that will not last, he said, and when they resume they will track more to the west. Scary! It reminds me of the major hurricane that was forecast to go through the Caribbean. Let’s hope that does not materialize, especially if it’s a Cape Verde hurricane. I just heard Jewell say that it’s not over yet. She thinks October will still bring something. There is a second peak in October so that explains it. I shall be content with regular rain showers. Hard to believe that our much feared September has been such a lamb. LAURA gave us some rain, but that was it as far as Caribbean activity. Or? Perhaps someone can refresh my memory. We had just been back home and were settling down for lunch when it started getting very dark to the West. Then we heard rumbling thunder. It was getting closer and closer. We were so happy to think we would get a good saturating rain. The pets were very uneasy. Finally the big dog-Rio Grande because he is so big, left us and went to the downstairs apartment, our hurricane refuge, curled up against the door. He is scared of thunder. The power outage happened just as I was going to lay myself down to sleep a good siesta, hoping for the sound of soothing rain pouring down on the roof. I was disappointed that the rain had bypassed us. However, it did rain heavily on other parts of the island. This must have been the trough that I heard about last night from the weatherman in the Dominican Republic. So, late this afternoon I had to water our newly planted Avocado tree. End of Story. Has St. Croix ever had a September without a storm? I will have to do some research. Maybe someone out there can find the info before I do. I am trying to refurbish our lawn which got overrun by weeds. If the weeds are removed the grass fills in the spots. Hope it works. Rain would be a big help, but this has not been a very wet “rainy season”. Hopefully there will be other tropical waves in the wings, not storms. WILFRED was looking promising for a while, coming this way as a Depression with lots of rain, but it dissipated today. We may still get some scattered showers. I’m sorry for the Gulf Coast which is constantly being bombarded. Tropical Storm BETA is commanding a lot of attention; with reason, it’s dumping up to 15 inches of rain in some areas. That sounds great! According to one of my favorite weathermen, Ruben Garcia from Puerto Rico, there’s nothing threatening during the forceable future. The weathermen and us can relax for a while. Of course that might only be a week or so. We’re still grateful for the respite. I was happy when I heard that Bermuda was going to be spared the wrath of Hurricane TEDDY. We had a similar experience in 2017 with IRMA and MARIA. Many people lost electrical power for almost a year. It was a very trying time, but when we consider the beauty of the islands and the peaceful life which we can enjoy for 99% of the time, surely, we should be able to deal with some “trying times”, right? That was quite a torrential RAIN! It could not have been from anything other than TEDDY! And how grateful we are. It seems that a rain-band swirled over us when it was at it’s closest approach. It lasted long enough to saturate the thirsty soil and even make its way to the bay where a huge area showed the runoff. That was great for us, but how about Bermuda! Another Impact? We know that the folks there have been keeping an eye on this one and that they are more than ready. I hope everyone will be safe. As for us, will WILFRED be a threat? We shall find out. I just hope it does not go to Bermuda! Seems to be a hurricane magnet there! Be well, everyone! May God bless us all. (P.S. the sea is roaring!)

What a day! In addition there was a 6.8 earthquake on the Mid Atlantic ridge at 5:44 p.m. It was the third 6+ one on that fault. I don’t know if it was felt by anyone as it was far away, but the fear is of a tsunami occurring. It probably would affect everyone in the region. This being such an unusual year. It would not be surprising if we are surprised. I bet Greece was surprised by the rare hurricane IANOS which hit them today. Thanks to the link posted by the correspondent in Barbados I learned more about it. From now on there can be a surprise per day. May God bless us all. The last storm on the list! Then the Greek Alphabet, beginning with “Alpha” which was already mentioned as a potential storm in the near future. With all the waves on the African continent heading to the Atlantic we could very well surpass the 25 storms in the forecast for this year. We have been spared so far and hopefully this will continue. Every now and then we get some good downpours, but we have not had as much rain as we usually do at this time. However, that is far better than two or three feet of rain, which Hurricane SALLY dumped on Louisiana and neighboring states. It was almost stationary, the worst thing that can happen! So, let’s prepare for the worse while hoping for a good end to this season. As I mentioned before, the hurricane season does not go according to the NHC calendar. Be safe. May God bless us all. I just heard what could be good news for the Caribbean. Dare we believe that the “W” Storm is not coming this way, but rather, will follow in TEDDY’s path? It would mean that we dodged the bullet again. However, TEDDY could be headed for the eastern seaboard. Not good either, the best would be if he went out to sea away from any land. In that case, may it remain a tropical wave. It came off the African coast yesterday morning and it is forecast to move along straight west. As usual, it’s too far to tell, however, there is a good chance that TEDDY will influence it when it gets closer and prevent it from developing. That would be great. The storms are bigger this year. Let’s keep the folks in the Gulf Coast in our prayers. In Bermuda they seemed to have fared well. Some folks had to do without power longer, while others could even retain Internet. As one correspondent said, they now had their eyes on TEDDY. They are resilient. Having viewed the video I could see that they were well prepared. Bravo! Hope the same can be said about us. It is extremely busy in the Atlantic, but the one we have to watch now is just coming off the coast of Africa tomorrow. Sooner or later one of them will come through the Caribbean. Will it be the “V” storm? It seems that Depression #20 will be TEDDY. I told my niece that I will get her a Teddy bear for her birthday if he came this week, but he decided to take a northerly track. Great for us! Until the season is finally over, we will be in continuous suspense. Let’s remain focused and prepared and let’s keep Louisiana and Bermuda in our thoughts and prayers. If #20 had continued on the westward track, it would have been a full fledged hurricane. I always have to remember that a major hurricane is forecast to go through the Caribbean. Thankfully, this one is turning to the north. That does not mean it cannot change it’s route again. Anything to our east cannot be trusted until it’s well out to sea. I feel sorry for the folks in Bermuda who apparently have to deal with the ravages of Hurricane PAULETTE. We know what it’s like. Stay safe and be well. There are many other waves traversing the African continent on the way to the Atlantic. A reminder that the hurricane season does not go according to the NHC calendar. We have a long way to go, so let’s stay prepared and ready for action if we get seriously threatened by a major hurricane. It sure was a welcome surprise to be suddenly showered with an intense rain for a good part of the afternoon in Christiansted, but further West it rained even more, enough to flood certain areas. A sneaky tropical wave must have come in under the radar. Rain was long-overdue. Now we are waiting to see what’s going to happen with that vigorous wave heading west towards us. Here we are! We’ve arrived at the top! Unfortunately, Godzilla is also at the top. We aren’t going down, as a matter of fact, we could be up here for quite a while. There is a slew of disturbances, potential storms coming off the coast of Africa. At the moment the one that is of most concern for us just came off the coast this morning and the NHC is giving it a 90% chance of becoming a Depression in the next few days, a definite name storm. The bad news is that it also has a good chance of keeping on the westerly track towards us in the Caribbean, unless the TW close behind it which is on a northerly track can pull it along, according to Meteorologist Ruben Garcia. We have to hope and pray that it does just that. We won’t find out for a while as the original forecast was to have it move west for a while before it is pulled up. There are a lot of nervous folks in our vicinity as can tell by the comments made. All we can do is to be well prepared for the worse while hoping for the best. Watch and pray. May God bless us all. On our little islands we are all holding our breath waiting to see what the new tropical wave coming off the coast of Africa tomorrow will do. It was forecast to track west towards us. Well, should we let out a sigh of relief? Or is it too soon? In todays update it shows that the wave which will have a very high chance of developing is going to turn to the north.!! Now, of course, we were told not to be too hasty, but rather vigilant and prepared. That can change, plus behind it is the one that might very well come straight west. And behind that heading to the coast is another and another...We definitely are not out of the woods. We still have two and a half months of Hurricane Season. May God bless us all. It is not even off the coast of Africa as yet and it already has a 90% chance of developing. The worst yet is that it will be taking a more westerly track towards the islands. Sure, it is too early to tell, but as Meteorologist Ruben Garcia explained it so well today, the chance of it coming this way is more a possibility than not. He urged everyone on the islands to monitor this disturbance very closely. Unfortunately, it is aiming to become a powerful hurricane which will gather steam as it tracks towards the islands. Heads up, everyone! The “S” storm could be our knockout punch for the season. Let’s watch and pray and hope it will not be a direct blow, better still that it will be steered away from us like PAULETTE and RENE. May God bless us all.
