- Our own cold snap!

Hello!

So Florida had a cold snap, even Iguanas were falling off trees, etc.

In Jamaica we had our own cold snap/cold front which caused temperatures to fall to about 13c in some higher elevations, which is below normal for Jamaica.

Personally I loved it, I don't mind the cold.

Northern sections of the island were seeing lots of rain and strong waves crashing into the shoreline making things difficult for the Resorts and Hotels. Roads near the shore were damaged and turned into one lane.

The cold front will be here until Friday and Northern sections will get more rain according to the forecast, so stay warm and dry!

- Christmas & Rain?

Hello and Merry Christmas!🎄

Hope the weather is good in your area.

In Jamaica right now we are having some showers from the Cold Front that should be passing pretty soon.

Northern parishes have been having some rain for a couple of weeks. I don't think they need anymore.

The Cold Front is currently over Cuba at the time of writing and is forecasted to move over our island by tomorrow, we are hoping for a dry Christmas so let's see if the rain holds off. Fingers crossed. 🤞

Hi!

I wasn't expecting this much rain to fall last night, but the southern end of Clarendon got about 1.6 inches in 3 hours.

A trough will linger over Jamaica for the next few days while a Tropical wave passes today.

A cold front is moving towards us from the Gulf right now and we are expecting more rain today and through the weekend.

- Dry for now.

Hello!

The clouds have cleared and we now have mostly clear skies and some wind. Forecast for today is mainly sunny with a high of 32c and some isolated showers in the afternoon. There is a High pressure system that will remain with us until about Wednesday when another Trough will move in.

Hopefully my car stays clean for awhile. :)

There is a small tropical wave moving pass Haiti and heading for us, seems weak so not much activity expected.

- Trough & Tropical Wave.

Good evening everyone.

Our island got some thunderstorms today, coming in from the Southeast, followed by light rain most of the day, temperatures dropped to about 26c.
Tonight will be cooler with a low of 24c.
We got about 0.5inches of rainfall in the Lionel Town area of the island.
This was all due to a Tropical wave that is now West of Jamaica and also a Trough which is forecasted to be with us until Sunday afternoon when a high pressure system will move in.

Tropical Storm Olga in the gulf is now affecting the U.S. with flooding and Tropical Storm Pablo in the Atlantic is bearing down on the Azores.
