Greets from Bonaire
This system is very low, very south. I hope it brings rain and then is gone. Not much to report down here. Too many cars thanks to an import scheme that allows Japanese cars to be imported in, to all kinds of private individuals at a cheap rate. I am told
there are more cars than people. Think Bermuda, put a limit on vehicles per family. Our roads are abysmal and cannot handle this traffic. The waters remain pristine. Water sports are pure heaven here. Cruise ships almost completely absent this time of year.
There is fresh barracuda and tuna on the menus this week. All is well.

Bon Dia from the Dushi island of Bonaire
I have been trapping strays that seem to like my yard. The plan is to trap, check for chips, sterilize and return or adopt, depending upon their situation. Thankfully, animal welfare is wonderful here and there are few strays. Some folks adopt pets and
then go back to the US or Holland and some are abandoned. I did adopt two dogs this way. No judgement but a fact. I will reserve my feelings for another forum. Anyway, I went to check my traps and heard a weird sound. It was RAIN…pounding, heavy, glorious
rain. Oh how happy I am. The gardens and plants desperately needed a wash and drink of water. Caribbean Weather Center on Facebook is forecasting some heavy weather over in Curacao right now. Will wait for more island updates.

Bon Dia from Dushi Bonaire
No weather news..dry and hot but much cooler than some parts of Europe and the US. I left Cape Cod two weeks back and the humidity was stifling. Here, I can walk to the sea and jump in.
I am watering the birds and donkeys again and my garden also needs extra love. The winds are strong, making for happy kiters and windsurfers.
I had a lovely visit to Namaste Spa in Republiek. The setting is magical. Mindfulness is an important aspect of my life. I am working to expand wellness on Bonaire. It is the perfect island for such endeavors. Check out my website www.bonairewellness.com
Have a lovely day in paradise..be kind to your neighbors and love yourself well, today.

Bon Dia
It’s been awhile so to catch up. March and now, we have an influx of Sargassum. This week’s plume is less than the mid March crop, for now, anyway. I spent days scouring the east coast looking to rescue trapped turtles. The impact on the marine life is
staggering.
We have had some rain so the landscape is dotted with yellow flowers from the Kibrahacha Tree. They are lovely.
Some news on drones
Lastly, I have decided to move on to new pastures in life. To that end, my lovely home is for sale. If anyone fancies moving to the amazing Dutch Caribbean, do let me know. Our island has no traffic lights. You can drink the water. Animal welfare is very
good. We are outside the hurricane belt and our entire island is designated a marine park so our waters are pristine. You can swim in the harbor, if you wish. I love Bonaire but I have decided to relocate to the mountains and also spend most of my time on
Cape Cod. Lastly, if you have a house for rent, I am keen on visiting some of the Caribbean I have yet to see. On my list include Martinique, Tobago, Corn Islands (Nicaragua) and St. Lucia. If you’d like to “try out” Bonaire, let me know. I’d love you to
be my guest.
