- Goodbye, All ! |
Dear faithful readers of Stormcarib! Thank you for keeping up with my updates and photos. See today's below. This H season even I had trouble keeping up. It seems that the older I get, the busier I get. Well, most of us in the Caribbean can truly say it was a good hurricane season. Except for Monster MATTHEW it would have been good for everybody. I hope and pray that Haiti has been able to get all the help it needs. It's never too late to give; it's especially good to give at this time of year when hearts and wallets open more readily. It has something to do with the sweetest season when LOVE was born in Bethlehem. May everyone stay well. "Hasta la vista" in 2017! Have a very merry Christmas, a healthy, happy New Year, and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Beautiful Thanksgiving Weekend Weather |
That was a real blessing! Another of many reasons to thank God. And now, the pattern changes with a high percent chance of rain for Monday. It's back to school and work weather. Hope everyone had s great time with family and friends as we did. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Blue Weather is Back! |
Good night, all! I hope that everyone who celebrated Thanksgiving Day had a happy one and is fully recovered. We are extra happy to see blue again after a series if gray, rainy days. Xabi, the kitten, is also happy. Sorry for Central America which was hit by a double whammy -- a late season hurricane OTTO, and a 7.0 earthquake. I heard of three fatalities. May God bless their recovery efforts and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- RAIN ! |
Good night, all! This has been the busiest November ever! The wettest too! We had a deluge today and I decided to go buy that bird! I could hardly see my way on the bypass during that torrential rain! More of the same is expected tomorrow. No beach days for my son visiting from NY. Hopefully there are sunny days before he leaves. As for 90L? It is now TS OTTO, moving south, away from us! Thank God! Another system is approaching from the east. Dave mentioned PAULA as a possibility as the season winds down. We shall see how that goes. Be well, be happy, and may God bless us all. Isabel Cvg Sent from my iPhone |
- Super Moon |
Good night, all! I'm sure there are better photos of the Super Moon. That's the best we could get at that moment. Our days recently have had their share of clouds and spotty showers. Everyone is getting rather busy with the Thanksgiving holiday coming up. Soon the official end of the hurricane season will be here and we can be truly thankful for a rather quiet one in our neck of the woods. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Any Weather Surprises before the 30th?0 |
Good night, all!! It's been quiet as far as the hurricane season, but it's been raining as never before during the last few weeks. Now the grass trimming, the lawn mow ing, and the weed whacking must begin in earnest. The photos show one of our garden beauties and Schooner Bay's evening lights. We hope there are no surprises in the wings! May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Rain will continue... |
For the next several hours, according to WU; however, it hasn't rained in my neck of the woods for several hours. Nevertheless, the sky is not happy and it has yet a whole lot of tears to shed. Those clouds in the photos exploded a while later with copious rain. Satellite Imagery showed a huge blob approaching the islands, perhaps that's why the high percentage of rain for the next few days. Good luck and God's blessing oon all the sea swimmers tomorrow morning, and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Rainy Days! |
Hi! We haven't seen this much rain in a long time, and we're loving it, at least farmers do, and those of us who have cisterns. The chance for rain remains high through the rest of this week and into the next. That does not mean it's raining 24/7. There are sunny breaks, quiet spells, a sudden downpour, instant minor flooding, sunny again, or clear starry skies and so on. It's the tropics! May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Pregnant Clouds |
Good night, Folks! We are surrounded by pregnant clouds. Whether it is still due to the low pressure system, is unclear. It has been raining everyday. Tonight we had the heaviest downpour; knocked out the DISH signal. The extended forecast also has high percentages of rain, for example, 100% on Sunday. My 16 yr old grandson and swimmers from "everywhere" are competing at a sea swim. He said that as long as there's no lightning the swim would take place regardless. Extended forecasts are not always reliable. It's a wait and see situation. So, WET has been the word around here and the newly planted plants and Ii are happy. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Low Pressure System |
Hi! This system has been giving us some nice rain. That's perfect for my newly planted garden at the Grotto. We can expect rain until Wednesday afternoon. It hasn't rained this much for a long time. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Beautiful Weather |
Good night/Good Morning! We certainly can't complain, or shouldn't. Weather wise it was a beautiful day. I was sent the first photo taken at sea level, and I took the second from our hill, 100 ft above sea level. Hope everyone had as wonderful a day as we had. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Lovely Daze |
Good night, all! A lovely, busy day today. So far no sign of anything forming. We have high percentages of rain for the next several days. We look forward to some rain. Have a wonderful Sunday. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Shorter Days |
Good night, all! Nights are longer than the days, so here I am at this late hour. I'm watching that system in the Central Atlantic. A low pressure system with a 1012mb. It looks very broad and fiery. Dave is keeping an eye on it for us. It could very well be the next named storm. Let's stay tuned, in hurricane mode. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Almost there! |
Good night, all! Some people will never forget the horrors of Hurricane MATTHEW--"it only takes one", that's unforgettable. That was it! Although, it could be too soon to say. At the moment there is something in the central Atlantic trying to get its act together, but for the wind shear. There's a mess out there judging from the Satellite Imagery. As for us, we've had sporadic showers, like this morning. In general, the weather is good, however, the H season is not over as yet. Let's help where we should with whatever we can. Every little bit helps. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Surprise Weather |
Hi! Today we had this beautiful surprise. Rain! It was nice while it lasted. We never get all the rain in the forecast. So far this hurricane season we haven't had any long lasting rain. Today it was announced at church that there will be an Ecumenical Thanksgiving at the wharf for being spared, and I was thinking, "not so fast". Dr. Masters mentioned " a system in the Central Atlantic that bears watching". However, I thank God everyday for sparing us many things. May God bless you, and us, and everyone on this little marble of a globe. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Panorama Weather |
Good night, all! This has been a very long day. There's a trough on the way that could give us the rain we have been missing. As a matter of fact, we are beginning to get the first heavy drops. I hope that the grass I trimmed today is not going to grow back tomorrow. Sky and sea were very blue today (21st) I could not take a photo, however, I felt this panoramic shot taken recently will make up for it. I hope it shows up as it should. Be well, be happy! May God the Father bless us and may he bless America...again! Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Overcast Skies |
Hi! It's been a slippery slope these past days, but we're feeling good; footing is more secure and we hope that regardless of the weather we can enjoy each day for as long as possible. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Sunshine/Moonshine |
Good night, All! Hope you had a great weekend. My "other half" is in the hospital so, that's not very pleasant. The day itself was beautiful and the brilliant moon in clear skies these past nights, is spectacular. That is all going to change soon according to WU as "deep tropical moisture" will be moving into the local area beginning Tuesday through Thursday. Sounds like a lot of rain to me! Be well, be happy and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Beautiful Weather |
Hi! We're having dry weather at the moment, but that is subject to change. This coming Tuesday more showers are in the forecast. A shower or two cannot spoil anyone's day in the tropics, the sun shines regardless. So, if you're coming down or live here, have no fear, the possibility of a storm is becoming less likely at this point. Nevertheless, we are not out of the woods as yet. Our feral kittens are basking in the sun as they look forward to their next meal. What a life! Have a good night and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- A Mixed Weather Bag Day |
This morning some heavy downpours surprised me during a funeral. I thought I was keeping up with the weather! The rest of the day was dry though threatening to rain. It ended with a glorious sunset and all is well. There is nothing in the Atlantic at the moment to cause concern. Tropical waves are always welcome since those bring us rain. Let's take it a day at a time. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Beautiful Weather |
We are basking in some real nice "autumn" days, how much longer it's going to last has already been predicted by WU. By midweek next week the unstable weather will arrive. Sorry that Bermuda got walloped by NICOLE ! May God bless them and all of us. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Day 134 - Hurricane Season 2016 |
Hi! What else can possibly happen in the remaining 49 days? Be on guard! That was the question in November 1999 when LENNY formed in the Western Caribbean. It can happen again. At the moment we are having "mixed up" weather. Dry air is suppose to settle in until the middle of next week when a wetter pattern will take over. Have a good night and may God bless us all. - Noon Clouds/Afternoon Rain |
What a relief to know that hurricane Matthew is out of the picture! However, many people are going to be dealing with its effects for a long time to come, especially Haiti which was the hardest hit. I'm encouraged, like Dr. Masters, to donate to the Lambi Fund. Hope you will too, if you can. Our weather has turned back to a rainy pattern; could be for the entire week. The sun will always be there, taking a bow whenever the cloud curtain opens. It does not rain everywhere at the same time either. For us it's been a relatively peaceful hurricane season. Sh-h-h-h! It's not over as yet. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- A long, short Day |
Hurricane MATTHEW is still a Cat 1 storm. It has left a lot of people dead, and many suffering survivors. It refuses to dissipate quickly. We are hoping that that was the last of the season. The photos reflect some of Sunday's mood, a photo from the house and one from the lagoon (taken by my granddaughter. We had a bit of all sorts of weather today, including thunder. All in all, it was a nice day, except for the heartache for Haiti. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Prayers and Flowers for Haiti |
Dear friends of this website, the tragedy in Haiti is overwhelming. One can just imagine their pain at the loss of family members, relatives, and friends, and the total loss of their little treasured possessions. It is my hope that some of the millionaires around would build good strong buildings where each family can have its own place and the children can have safe modern playgrounds and a sports field for the older kids and adults. And that would not cost much, like change in our pockets. I appeal to all those with big money do something for Haiti. May all who died in Haiti and along Hurricane MATTHEW's trail rest in peace, and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- S&S-Sunshine & Showers |
It's been a very warm, sunny day with occasional heavy downpours. A couple of features are going to band together to make our weekend on the wetter side. We'll take it! Let's pray for Haiti. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Hurricane MATTHEW- A Monster Storm |
Hi! This is one of the Hurricanes that will definitely go down in history as the most powerful, long-lasting, and deadly! I just got breaking news that the number of dead in Haiti has gone up to 260! Granted, this number may not be accurate, but even a much smaller number is terribly sad, especially when I remember the woman responding to an evacuation order, "Go where..? And how..?" This hurricane is so powerful that it generated 18ft waves in Fredriksted on Wednesday-see today's front page of the AVIS. The tropical wave that is entering the Caribbean is quite large. Is it something of concern? Hopefully it's nothing more than a refreshing rain. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- MATTHEW's Cloud Cover |
Hi! Except for some sunshine today, it was mostly cloudy, as seen in the photos, verging on rain, but it didn't. This coming weekend, however, rain is expected with a tropical wave crossing the eastern Caribbean. In the meanwhile, hurricane Matthew, a Cat 3, is forecast to regain its Cat 4 status before it arrives in Florida. Haiti was badly battered with 13 people killed during it's passage. There's devastation everywhere. I hope this is the last one for the season. Be well. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Rainy Pattern Continues |
Hi, in addition to moisture from hurricane MATTHEW- (see today's photos below) we can also expect a retrogressing trough colliding with a tropical wave in the Caribbean so that the chance of showers and thunderstorms will increase by the end of the week and into the incoming weekend. Of course, being the tropics we always have sunshine in between it all, and it's always warm. We continue to prayerfully support all those threatened by the hurricane and its victims. Stay safe. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |

- Hurricane MATTHEW Weather |
The photos reflect the kind of weather we're having as of this evening and will be having for the next few days, according to the forecast, as Hurricane MATTHEW lifts higher ever so slowly. I fear especially for Haiti and pray that everyone can escape from harm. May God bless them and us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Tracking MATTHEW |
Good early morning ! Last night it got too late. I've been in touch with correspondents in Jamaica and Haiti. This is really a tough call for them, especially for Haiti with its history of disaster. The hurricane dropped to 130 mph, but is of little consolation considering the huge amounts of rain predicted. Let's pray that there's no loss of life and everyone get through this safely. Let us be ready to help where help is needed. May God bless them and us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Hurricane MATTHEW- A Major Threat |
Good evening! At this time we can more than imagine the mounting tension and fear of the people who will be impacted by this powerful hurricane which is still a Cat.4, more like a Cat 5 with sustained winds of 150 mph and moving at a mere 3 mph! That measures disaster on a huge scale. Let's pray that their preparations will get them safely through. The center of the hurricane seems to be tracking between Jamaica and Haiti, impacting the tips of both countries. Not only the wind is a major issue but the amount of rain! I cannot begin to imagine 15 inches of rain. May God bless them now and us all as we go through the rest of this hurricane season. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |

Good night, All! Wow!! Hurricane MATTHEW was upgraded to a catastrophic Cat 5 !! That is, 160 mph sustained winds! I pray for everyone in the path of this monster. Please take this storm seriously, stay put in a secure place. The heavy bursts of showers that we're having can only be coming from Hurricane Matthew. May God bless you and us all. - Hurricane Matthew |
When it passed our longitude yesterday, even before, we got a taste of what could have been a full blown hurricane for us. Instead it traveled very low into territory which rarely sees rain much less a tropical storm. Now it's a full blown hurricane possibly impacting Haiti, the one place it should avoid. Only time will tell what trail Hurricane Matthew leaves behind. In the meanwhile, Dave reminds us that behind Matthew could be the next potential threat, which recently splashed into the Atlantic. It's not over until it's over. This evening I snapped these photos of our now tranquil view. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Squally Weather |
Good night, all! After that surprise hit this afternoon it's been quiet, except for a few squalls a while ago. However, thunderstorms are promised over night. I hope I don't get disappointed. I like a good thunderstorm. TS Matthew has a lot of drama in store for the rest of his passage through the Caribbean. I hope and pray that everyone is prepared and careful. No going out like the m m m (mad media men) or the chasers. Stay safe. It's very quiet now except for some very happy tree frogs. Let's see what tomorrow brings. Each day is a brand new gift. Let's open it and like the little birds, look up, each time they take a sip of water. May God bless us all. Thank you to all who have written. Will get back to you as soon as I can. Isabel |
- Whiteout conditions |
Well, TS Matthew pulled a fast one on us. Here we are getting battered by what seems like a hurricane at this hour! God help us and especially those along the path of a strengthen storm. At the moment we have a power outage. Will update later. Blessings, Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- 97 L - On the Move. Where? |
Hi! It's hard to tell with all info where 97L will finally track. At the moment it's moving WNW and is currently at latitude 13, but still is some 700 miles away. Our local newspaper informs us that it will pass 200 miles to our south. That is already 150 miles less than initially said. It's wise to monitor and be prepared. May God bless us all. Sent from my iPhone |
- 97 L "Potentially dangerous " |
Good night, folks in the southern Lesser Antilles and beyond. 97 L , as Dr. Masters posted, is potentially dangerous for the Caribbean. This disturbance/storm/hurricane has it's eye on many places and we have to monitor it carefully. The long range forecast takes it through Jamaica, through Central Cuba, down the backbone of the Florida Peninsula ! They could be wrong! 97L has a mind if it's own, but the science of weather can get into that mind and know it's track in advance. Be aware, be cautious, be prepared wherever you are in the Caribbean. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- 97 L |
Good night, all! We had a wonderful day today, hope you did too! I got up wondering why the system in the Atlantic was not been labeled as yet, and then I noticed that it was! 97L definitely wants to remain below us and especially if it becomes a cyclone, I don't want it anywhere near. It would disrupt my "enchanted" life not to mention the clean up job after. However, we're not out of the woods as yet. Anyone noticed the many waves in Africa getting ready to jump into the Atlantic?? Remain prepared, we have a way to go as yet. Be safe. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Something's Coming |
Hello! The intense heat we're all experiencing is ideal for cyclone formation. The experts have been tracking a system heading towards the Caribbean at 20-25mph. The track consistently takes it through St. Lucia. Be ready and careful, folks! This is expected to become a Depression before it arrives by midweek. It could be the next name storm. May God bless us all.! Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Is it Over? |
Hi! Some people don't even know this is the hurricane season. It's been beautiful. Others are thinking the season is over, again because it has been so nice, storm free for us. But, not so fast, I almost finished my tin of soda crackers since there hasn't been a storm. Well, according to WU the Lesser Antilles could be threatened by the next Tropical wave coming off the coast of Africa at the end of next week. That is a long range forecast. That means in another two and half weeks we shall see about that. In the meanwhile an active tropical wave will approach the local area by midweek. I hope we get some of that rain. We were at the beach after 5:00 p.m today when the photo was taken. It was not as dark as it seems in the photo. Be well. Be happy. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Clouds |
Hi! TD KARL passed us today at quite a distance without any change in our weather. I doubt that the interesting sky had anything to do with it. Early this morning a friend of ours sent me photo #2 taken from his home on the south side of the island towards East End. I sent him in reply photo#1 from the north side of the island, in Christiansted; and at noon could not resist photo#3, such colors, with what seemed like an imminent battle between two cloud beasts. The sun was intense, it was another day in paradIse. Hope it was good for you as well. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- African Tulips |
Sept. 21- the African Tulips have bloomed like never before. Perhaps they enjoy the intense heat. Like in African from where the tropical waves come. I wanted to be sure these early morning photos went out even at this very late hour. It was a very busy day! May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Tranquility Reigns... |
Though somewhat hot! Hi, faithful readers of my daily posts, it has been quiet as far as hurricanes go. TS KARL and TS LISA are far from us. We had a sudden thunder boom from the cloudy part of the sky early this afternoon. a few drops here and there, but heard that other places got copious amounts. At this point we just want to get cooled off. The steps lead down the path to the lower garden, a place of respite. May God bless the whole world and us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Goodbye, Karl! |
Good night ,all! What a relief to see TS KARL make the WNW turn! I still hope for rain, though. The lawn at the Fort is turning Brown. Ours is dry and crunchy. We need rain.. Have a good night may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- TS KARL |
Good night, all! Hope you had a good Sunday. We did not get the rain in the forecast, however, last night at the desert part of the island, East End, our friends got 1000 gallons! We just got a smattering. Well, well, so it goes. TS KARL is still on a westerly course, expected to make the turn to the NW late Monday. We shall see. The photo shows Sunny with his baby brother, Charly. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Where is TS KARL headed.?? |
Good question! Hi ! By tracking this storm I noticed and logged that TS KARL dropped from 18.8 N last night to 18.1 now. Does this mean a more westerly course? All the experts seem to agree that it is going to pass very far from the islands. So we hope, so we pray, because if it continues to drop TS KARL will be at our front door. The 70% chance of rain tomorrow is to begin in the wee hours. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Watching TS KARLl for t |
Good Night, All! We are so grateful for the beautiful, tranquil days we are having. Can't complain. At the moment those of us who track storms are aware that TS KARL is moving west, in our direction. The experts say that it will pass a good distance from us. Nevertheless, it's wise to keep an eye on it. Be prepared, you never know. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- TD 12 to Approach the Leeward islands |
Our weather continues to be enjoyable. It has not rained much lately so once again we had to buy another 3000 gallons of water. TS KARL, soon to be by the weekend, would do us the favor of bringing rain by midweek, if he continues to move towards us, besides we have a son named Karl. The NHC does not know if and how we are going to be impacted. Some experts think it's going to break up before it gets here. What a waste of water!! I say let it arrive or pass by in as harmless a form as possible with lots of rain. Be careful what we wish for. In today's photo you should be able to detect the steeple building in the historic site in Christiansted. The steeple was repaired to tell the correct time, ringing out the hours. Well, along came Hurricane Omar and damaged the steeple building again. I hope we never have another hurricane. It's too exhausting, before, during, and the weeks after. Let's be prepared. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Tropical Waves Galore! |
Good night, folks! By now you know that TD#12 is the next in line for a name. This one bears watching. It's good to think positive at all times, but complacency is another story. With these systems, we know that a slight shift in the atmosphere can change everything. JULIA suddenly formed over Florida and Georgia! Right behind #12 is another one which will most likely pass through the islands because it's lower. The point is that we are in the most active time in the H season and should be ready for anything. The photos show a touching sight of a Calico cat "visiting " the grave site of our cat that died 11 yrs ago; it's in the Alpine section of our garden in the first photo. Be well, be happy, and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- 95 L Bears Watching ! |
Good night, all! I realized today that 95 L is not staying out In the Atlantic. Some of the computer models on WU are pointing at us. Many of the ensemble models are dipping down too close for comfort. Of course this changes day to day, that's why we have to monitor this Invest. 95 L will most likely become the next name storm. I look with horror as the wind increases to 190 mph in the Super Typhoon ready to make landfall in China, clipping Taiwan! God help them.! Pray that we can escape such s hurricane! Our weather remains very nice for the time of year. We get patches of rain now and then. Keeps hot heads cool. Keep an eye on 95 L! May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Tropical Storm IAN & 95L |
Hi! Aren't we good? So far the big ones are going far out to sea. 95 L, just off the coast of Africa, will track far from us. I am sorry for the people in Taiwan, Philippines, and China who are being threatened by the biggest hurricane ever, now a Cat 5 with 180mph wind! I hope and pray we never have such a threat. La Niña being a no-show is a big help. In the meanwhile we are happy with the troughs that bring us much needed rain. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- 911 Weather |
Good night, all! Our weather was breezy and quite comfortable. Some areas got rain. At the moment we have a 70% chance of rain. We will be having a trofiness in the air for the next few days that will bring us light to heavy showers. 911 Weather had to be clear. The terrorists had to see the targets. It has been cloudy and rainy days before. I remember those towers so well. I often went to the top with family and visitors. We dined at the Windows of the World Restaurant with cloud curtains all around. I remember looking straight up from the ground and straight down from the 110th floor. Those towers were awesome. Sept. 11 - an unforgettable day. May God bless all the survivors, and us, and may those who perished that day rest in peace. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- 1st Peak of the H Season |
Well, we got a huge exclamation point early this morning in the form of T H U N D E R ! Was that ever loud ! 93L was passing to the north of the islands. It was very cloudy in the early hours during which came patches of rain as in the photo. The rest of the day was sunny and hot. Later we did some gardening in the "Swiss Alpine" section of our garden. All in all, it was wonderful day. Hope yours was too. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- La Niña, a no-show? |
Hi! That would be great news, unless she is like many human La Niñas, late!! I'll wait until November before I let my guard down. In the meanwhile, the rest of the hurricane season will not be as active without La Niña. Watch and pray! What we will be having mostly are tropical waves which bring rain. Today's noon photo shows a mix of thick clouds and blue skies. That's been frequent, otherwise the days are mostly sunny. Come visit.!! Check out gotostcroix.com and may God bless us all. - September, September! |
It sticks out in our minds in four letters HUGO. Thank God, so far so good. However, there are many waves coming off the coast. We must remain vigilant. 93L popped up suddenly, and not far behind is one with a 60% chance of developing. This could be 94 L before long. Hope it does become a fish storm, or else... This morning a shower passed by, as seen in the photo. Soon after the sky was sunny and so it was all day. The sea was a beautiful blue like in past photos. Visitors must be having a great time. Let's hope this quiet time continues. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Pink Poui Weather |
Hi! Today I was surprised by rain. I did not expect it till tomorrow, but it's always welcomed. It's hard to believe that even though the storms were increased by ten we should breeze through the peak of the hurricane season without even a hint of a storm. That's truly an amazing grace! As for the Pink Poui, it blooms at intervals throughout the year, it's better than the cherry blossom, which is a short, annual deal. Our tree has a very prominent place in the lower garden and has not yet been really tested. Have a good night and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Quiet Day |
Hi! After the stormy passage of 92 L to our south on Monday, we had a relatively quiet Tuesday. Even the work on Company Street seemed quiet. The holes were probably filled with water from 92 L. We'll be drying out for a couple of days before the next rounds of rain arrive Thursday into Friday, and then on Saturday. The next big wave off the coast of Africa is most likely going out to sea. So, our hurricane season has been a beautiful one. Have a good night and may God bless us all . Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- 92 L Rain Clouds |
Hi! Some nice rain from those clouds in photos, which broke a couple hours later. This wave is expected to clear the region late Tuesday. It looks like a wet return-to-school Day. Some dry weather will prevail from Wednesday until the weekend when another wave arrives. This is, after all, our rainy season. Have a good night and may God bless us all. - Saharan Dust Day |
What a foggy day! Especially late afternoon and evening. This was the plume of dust that came off the coast of Africa together with 92L, which is moving through the Lesser Antilles. It has dropped further south. We are getting a stiff breeze from the south and a higher chance of rain for tomorrow. That's most likely when it's passing closest to us. The next Tropical wave of concern will step off the coast on Tuesday, however, the dust will once more hinder this one from becoming a major disturbance at least during the first 5 days. And the beat goes on. Have a good night and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Weather Johnny Cakes |
Good night, All ! 92 L is far to our south and should not interfere with any event. We may not even get rain out of it. I am more concerned about the folks in its path. Be safe out there! In the meanwhile the rest of us can fry some Johnny cakes. I like the following recipe: 2 cups flour, 2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp. salt, 2 tbs margarine or butter. Sift the first three ingredients, cut in the m/or b ; add enough cold water to make it pliable. Knead until smooth. Shape into golf balls, flatten in the palm of your hand; brown on both sides in hot oil; drain on paper towel. Take along on a journey, that's how the name originated. Have a good night and May God bless us all, especially those poor people struggling after or with HERMINE . Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- 92 L on the Move!! |
Good night, folks! So, that headline the other day about 92 L looming in the Atlantic was not exactly far fetched. It's almost on top of us now and it looks quite healthy. It bears watching! Be prepared!! Today we had brief passing showers from a weak wave. The photos show the clouds at midday and the Saharan Dust Sunset. Be well, stay safe, you folks beyond the Lesser Antilles. IAN is trying to make an appearance! May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Spared! |
Goodnight, all! At this time we could be like Florida waiting for the approach of a hurricane. Thank God, this one lost it's battle with the Saharan dust. We have instead a weak wave going through tonight and tomorrow, followed by a stronger wave Sunday night into Monday. We had several quick, passing showers today in between the lovely tropical setting as seen in the photos. I see a diver in the cloud. So far nothing has been said about the other big wave that came off the coast of Africa. All eyes are on HERMINE, while the next one could be forming. Tis that season. May God help us and bless us. - 92 L Snuffed Out |
Well, That was the end of 92 L. A short lived victory because coming off the Coast of Africa is another very big wave.. Keep an eye on it. Today was a lovely, breezy day. Have a good night May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- 92 L Embedded in Dust! |
Good night, all! Before I retire this night I have to say something about this powerful tropical wave that exited the African Coast at the same time as a pulse of Saharan dust and is choking. However, it is expected to survive and continue the trek west and later NW. It seems that it will not be passing over the islands. What a relief, especially if it becomes a cyclone before it reaches here. Still it bears watching as it can very well do the opposite. So, we have a few days to watch and prepare. For the moment 92 L is not to be seen on the map; hopefully it stays embedded and we don't have to worry about that one. Let's pray for the folks in Hawaii who are going to be hit by two hurricanes. That's new for them. May God bless them and all of us. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- The Weather Orchids |
Hi, as I said last night, " is this the quiet before the storm?" Well, I read Dave's post late and towards the very end he mentions the TW that's splashing into the Atlantic tonight or tomorrow. This Wave has an ominous face and we have been urged to monitor it closely as it can become a hurricane before it reaches the Leeward Islands by next week between the 5th and the 8th. These orchids on our tree in the center of our driveway brought to mind those other orchids that survived OMAR's mighty, 130 mph wind. My daughter and I stood in awe the next day. How can such fragile-looking flowers have survived such a vicious onslaught when tree branches went flying!! It's not a certain thing, yet the model guidance seem pretty sure that this possible hurricane is coming this way. We can still hope that it veers way from land. May God bless us all as we complete any preparation left to do. It's already late in the season . Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Strange Weather |
Hope it was a nice Sunday. Ours was; It was one of those days when you expect it to rain at any moment and it doesn't. There was thunder coming from the west, so it could be that they were having a rain event. So far there's no tropical wave in the wings worth mentioning by the NWS in San Juan. Is it the quiet before the storm? Let's hope and pray it's a lasting quiet. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Stormy West |
Good night, All! This has been a very busy day, but at good one all around. We can not complain. The stormy weather to our west partly captured in photos. 2:00 p.m. seemed almost like 2:00 a.m.(?). So far the hurricane season has been very mild. However, we are approaching the time when La Niña can enter into the picture. There is a whole train of tropical waves crossing Africa towards the Atlantic. We can say the hurricane season is only now beginning. So far the Saharan dust has kept them at bay, but we know that sooner or later it will lift and we will be open to the possibility of a cyclone or more. Our worst hurricane, HUGO, came the middle of September. Let's not become complacent. Be prepared at all times. Pray! May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Trailing Moisture |
Hi, this is my second attempt. Today we had more rain from the trailing moisture of 99L than the actual disturbance. The photos show the early morning hours with the passing rain in the distance and the evening hours with the amazing clouds. We had a lovely, interesting day with a bit of everything. The Saharan dust is standing guard in front of the African coast. There's nothing brewing, no new invest in that area. So far so good. I sure hope we can breeze through the hurricane season, but the worst months are still to come. So stay prepared and ready for anything. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Life after 99 L |
Hi! It continues with less tension, that is, for those of us following 99L. It was such a huge wave that had it become a cyclone it would have been devastating. So, what's next? Well, I'm watching a 1008mb TW just off the coast of Africa. It has the same pressure as 99 L. A bit higher up there's another TW with a pressure of 1003mb. These two could play a role in our weather, especially the lowest one. I believe that's the one Dave mentioned. Yup! It bears watching! Have a good night and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- 99 L is Arriving |
Good Afternoon! This morning the clouds heralded the approach of 99 L. The morning was dry until just about noon. Heavy rain-laden clouds suddenly made an appearance and burst. I read on the WU Blog that between this system and a couple of troughs we can expect rain for 7 days. Again, Mother Nature decides. I shall send another update later. At the moment it stopped raining. This morning I noticed another Invest in the Atlantic. 98L? I have to look again to be sure. Be safe. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |

Some light rain around 11:30 and that was it .WU has the rain arriving towards morning. The NWS says that 99 L is getting better organized. Stay tuned! Good night, all. God bless you. Isabel

- Waiting for 99 L |
Hi! Here we are with a Flash Flood Watch since this morning, way ahead of the arrival of 99 L. It was a beautiful day starting with a leftover piece of rainbow in the morning sky and ending with an interesting cloud sculpture in the evening. In between it has been quite breezy and comfortable in the shade. This evening we have a very cool breeze coming from the east; must say the breeze picked up somewhat. According to NOAA Weather Radio, we should begin to feel the effects of 99 L after midnight. I'll send an update before I turn in for the day. This is not a wind event, we are told, so if suddenly it forms over our heads we're in trouble. The heavy rain is definitely going to cause flooding in many areas. I just hope everyone is taking the necessary precautions. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- T. S. GASTON ! |
Good night, All! Well, well, 90 L became GASTON. Next name up should be for 99 L if it develops into a cyclone. Right now it's a massive disorganized disturbance, which is expected to soak our region for a few days. A reconnaissance airplane is going out tomorrow to get accurate data as it now has a 60% chance of developing. Rain is good, but too much of it causes chaos as we have seen in Louisiana, Texas, and other parts of the world. So, whether it has a name or not, we'd better be prepared for this system. On the other hand, GASTON is supposed to follow a similar path to FIONA, but coming off the coast of Africa soon are some mighty looking waves, which are looking for a name all their own. Be prepared ! For now, stay safe all of us in the path of 99 L ! (The clouds in the photo yesterday were irresistible.) May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Saharan Dust & 99 L |
Hi, All ! As we can see from the photo, the Saharan dust has played an Olympic role in suppressing what could have been a Hugo Cape Verde type hurricane. It would be great if it can stick around for the rest of the season. 99 L will continue to keep us in suspense, especially with the obvious spin it had earlier. The post from Sint Martin has it possibly developing into a Cat 3 down the road, according to the Miami source. It's only a matter of Time and we'll know for sure what's what. Let's pray that no one gets hurt, or worse, in the progress of this system. Computer models have 90 L developing before 99 L if and when it does; in which case, the G name would go to 90 L and the H name to our 99 L. Let's stay tuned. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Is 99 L Still a Threat? |
Good night, All! There are conflicting posts out there from correspondents and meteorologists as well. Last coordinates I saw before writing this post: 12.6N 38.7W. Moving WNW at 20 mph. Wind speed still at 30mph. So, what exactly is happening? I've been hoping the dust would strangle it and diminish any chance of intensification; that has been happening, but will it be enough? We shall see. Let's not be too complacent that 99L is done. I understand it's going to enter a more favorable environment and that's when we'll know if there's a real threat of a cyclone or not. I am grateful for rain, so if it passes by as an open wave, it will rain. We certainly don't want a cyclone. The wave behind this one could be following the path of FIONA, but then, we have to wait and see. There's a lot of hurricane season to go, so staying prepared and alert is the best way to deal with it. Be happy. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- 99 L a Threat to the Caribbean |
Good afternoon, everyone, near and far, with interests in the Caribbean. Model guidance supported by meteorologists on WU suggest that Invest 99 L , which is very low in the Atlantic, is going to remain on a westerly course bringing it to the Leeward Islands and intensifying into a hurricane by next Wednesday. It is very important that this system be monitored as it can speed up, slow down, change direction, but whatever it does, it will become a name storm and should be impacting the Caribbean. Which island will be targeted will be known as it progresses in this direction. It could go above or below us, but we won't know for a few days. FIONA is not a threat to us but definitely 99L and most likely the one following that as well. Our Weather today has been as lovely as the photo. Lovely weather makes it even more incredulous that a potential hurricane could be here by next week. Surely we have had enough time to prepare? If not, now's the time. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- TS FIONA & Company |
Our tropical wave fizzled, so not a drop of rain today. FIONA is looking rather healthy and the future Gaston looks fierce. If he stays west we are in trouble. The NHC has not noticed, or have they..? Yes, they have! "Formation chance through 5 days is 40%..." And the future Hermine is not off the coast of Africa as yet and already has a "formation chance of 30%! So as we can see it's becoming very active! Unfortunately, those will probably be aided by La Niña! Oh, no! For the moment we have some dust and another tropical wave in the forecast for next Wednesday. Have a good night and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Tropical Storm FIONA ! |
Good evening, All! According to WU a few minutes ago, we have a tropical storm in the central Atlantic moving NW at 16mph. It shall pass us at a distance, so no need to worry about this one. However, there are others behind it. This is the time to make sure we are prepared. This morning we had a good shower with more to come as the tropical wave arrives overnight. Our hearts and prayers go out to those suffering in Louisiana from the ravages of the historic floods there. May God bless them and all of us. Keep an eye on FIONA! Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Clear Night, TW Approaching |
Hi, the good night moon is shining its glory upon us before the tropical wave arrives Wednesday night into Thursday, which is to bring "deep moisture" to the local area. The last one dumped sporadic flooding rain. What we have to watch is 98 L and the disturbances behind it coming off the coast of Africa. Sooner or later we may have to deal with a storm. Are we ready? With that thought in mind I wish you a good night and may God bless us all. Sent from my iPhone |
- Invest 98 L |
Late last night or early this morning it was confirmed what I noticed before. A huge blob just off Africa was labeled 98 L. Computer models has it turning above us and off in other directions. However, only Time will tell. It has to be monitored and i will be keeping you posted. Be well, may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Drying Out |
Hi! Hope you had a wonderful day. We dried out today, at least on our part of the Big Island. From the Sun Bursts to the evening glowing Christmas Palm the day was just lovely. The next Tropical Wave is expected on Thursday. That should bring another few rounds of rain and thunderstorms. Keep in mind that I rely on the NWS for the latest; also, the weather has a mind of its own, that's why forecasts change all the time. So stay tuned because any day now we may have to scramble. Have a good night and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- What a day! |
It started out with a dramatic sunrise. Then the sun dispelled any thought of a tropical wave. We were on the way to our beach picnic when the sky to the east was suddenly very dark. We were able to enjoy the refreshing sea before those little diamonds rained down on us. It was amazing! Picnic went fine. We were truly blessed. I went to the supermarket and on the way back drove through a deluge. Parts of King Street were flooded. It was intense. I made it back without a problem. At dinner on our covered deck it poured once more and we remembered how we had to run indoors before. Now we can just stay at the table and enjoy the rain. The TW is moving away tonight and no other system is anywhere near, but it's only a matter of time. Have a good night and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Tropical Wave Approaching |
Hi! We are suppose to be getting wet on Saturday if the tropical wave decides to drop some rain. Not good for a picnic at the beach. According to the NWS the rain should arrive after midnight and last through Saturday. Our Flamboyant trees suffered so much from the drought last year that they were late bloomers this year and they're not as full as before. The colors provide brilliant splashes all around the island, which I'm sure all the islands are enjoying as well. The hurricane season between June and November is the best time to visit. Come on down folks from the CONUS and beyond ! If there is a hurricane, a direct hit, there's enough time to leave or batten down the hatches and experience it. AND may God bless us all. - What is a Trough? |
Hi! I prefer the word Trof. It means the same thing: "an elongated region of relatively low atmospheric pressure, often associated with a front." Well, we have one of those in the area right now that's why we have those Trofy clouds this evening. As for rain, we got a good shower late last night in Christiansted Town, that's it so far. Trofs vary in intensity, this one is quieter. It seems that the tropical wave for the weekend will be mostly offshore, according to the NWS in San Juan. We shall see. We should enjoy each day whatever weather it brings. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Plants and the Weather |
Hi! Every plant is thriving with the daily showers we've been having. As is expected they often are shredded by storms with the exception of some, like the orchid spray that withstood the 130 mph winds of OMAR. So far there is nothing threatening out there. However, the number of storms have been increased for this year and the season is after all to be quite active. If La Niña kicks in it can even become quite dangerous. Let's pray and hope that all will be manageable with a good preparation. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Still Quiet |
Hi! It's been a typical tropical day, hot and breezy. If anyone wants to visit, there's no cyclone in sight. A tropical wave might be passing through on Saturday, otherwise there's nothing big. The weather seems much better here than in Florida with 12" of rain in the St. Petersburg area. Also heard of the inclement weather in Arizona. Tucson was hit hard. Sorry for the folks in Mexico who lost their lives in mudslides caused by EARL. Be prepared! There's a lot of hurricane season left to go. Have a good night, and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Mixed Weather Bag |
Hi! This week should be quiet with just a little trough here and a little trough there ending with a tropical wave by Friday through the weekend. As we go down the steps to the lower garden, or the jungle park as I call it sometimes, it's such a difference from last year's drought. Every little shower that comes by is highly appreciated. So far so good this hurricane season. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- A Beautiful Hurricane Season Day |
Hi! Some days are extra special. The flooded mess in front of the church was repaired; except for a few clouds, the day was mostly sunny and very warm, a sudden downpour during the afternoon surprised us, and every plant and tree was sparkling. We will have a lull in the waves this week at least until this weekend when a wave will bring some "decent moisture". Hope it was a great day for everyone all around. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Calm Again |
Hi, the severe weather is over, for now. Model guidance has the next system right over our area by the next weekend. As we go farther into the month, these waves are going to become more serious. As a matter of fact, the tropical wave for next weekend looks quite ominous. I am sure that Xabi ( Sha-bee ) is watching The Weather Channel. Be well. Be happy. May God bless us all. - Severe Weather |
Hi ! This morning started off with the face in the photo. It cleared up for a while then came the alert of thunderstorms approaching! What a deluge! And that during a funeral! Water everywhere. It stopped only to resume just as everyone was leaving! That was tropical wave # 1. The Flash Flood Watch is now extended until Sunday morning with the second TW arriving overnight tonight according to NWS. If it goes as announced we can get a rainfall total of 2-4" or more between tonight and Sunday morning. Sounds unreal... At the moment it's raining on and off. Maybe tonight I call fall asleep to the real thing rather than the recorded.😄 May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- An Active Season |
Hi! As we await the two tropical waves this weekend with the hope of getting the much needed rain, word came that Colorado U. has increased the number of storms by 10. Ten? Those of us who look ahead to the African coast see the waves moving towards the Atlantic. There are many, so an increase in the number of storms makes sense. The Saharan dust is the only hindrance at the moment and soon that will be gone. Dave suspects an impact in the Caribbean. We just have to be ready for whatever comes. The sunset was captured in today's photos. So far it is quiet, but should be stormy later tonight if the forecast is accurate. Be well, have a good night, and may God bless us all. I hope they are friendly. Those those u possible 98L. I don't know how fast they are moving, however, a tropical wave is expected tomorrow night into Friday, and the first one looks so far away. Hi, we had a dry, calm, peaceful day. However, coming up we have three tropical waves in the wings. According to WU we can expect one on Friday (this could be the remnants of 96L. It was looking rather impressive to our east.); there's one on Sunday, and one on Tuesday. Dave thinks one of the next waves will be labeled 98L. Suspense! Have a good night and may God bless us all. - RAIN- a Blessing and a Curse? |
Hi, whatever amount of rain we got, it surely boosted this Hibiscus bush. A great treat for the tortoises! They love them! We did not get the 4 inches of rain and more that were predicted, but that might have caused problems. Sorry about the folks who lost their lives in Hispaniola due to this tropical wave which grew in intensity after it passed us. It can become a name storm by tonight. The NHC has given it a 90% chance. That's a done deal. As I said in a recent post, it is going to be a busy season. I hope everyone is going to be safe, not curious. May God bless us all. - Sunday Evening with 97 L |
Hi! After a disappointing lack of rain out of 97L we are finally beginning to get some real moisture albeit in "fits and starts". It would be so heavy and loud enough to cause Olli's ears to go back, and then in an instant it would stop. Like Dave, I do think that 97L will be something to deal with down the road. As for 96 L, I'm counting on that one for a better chance of rain. Have a good night and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Where is 97 L ? |
It is 5:42 a.m. and no rain as yet. There is, however, a 100% chance of rain. The photos show how it looks at this hour of Sunday morning. See you in church. May God bless us all. Will check in later. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Some Timid Rumblings |
Good night, All ! I'm turning in.(Yawn..,yawn...) So far, except for a few hiccups, 97L is not ready to show it's full force as yet. I went outside a short while ago and there are occasional flashes, so something is definitely in the neighborhood. I just hope we get some rain. I'll let you know tomorrow morning. I was just reading up on 96 L, which is trailing this one. There is a potential for it to become a Depression in the Central Atlantic by midweek. The Computer models have it going in all directions including this way. Then there are a couple of blood red monsters coming off the coast of Africa soon. I'm sure those are going to be invests as well. We are going to be very busy this hurricane season that's for sure. Sweet dreams. Blessings! Isabel |
- Flash Flood Watch! |
Hi, everyone, near and far. Until it's here we are never absolutely sure. This one looks serious, so we have to pay attention. The action is suppose to begin in ernest around 2 a.m. We can expect 2-4 inches of rain and maybe more. Is it going to become a name storm, over us, or after it passes? It has that kind of face. I hope that everyone in its path will take the necessary precautions. Being that this is not a cyclone, the usual is not done. We never batten down the hatches for a tropical wave, which consists of rain and some wind. This, however, is a strong one with potential for us or for others down the road. At the moment it is quiet. We have had only spurts of rain and some wind thus far. I shall send another update before I retire at whatever time that will be. Have a good night, and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- The Leading Edge of 97 L |
Hi! This is it! The leading edge arrived earlier than anticipated, but at a speed of 30 mph that is to be expected. The wave itself is coming along soon. How long will it last? The NWS in San Juan said it should last until tomorrow night, though there is a high percentage of rain for Monday as well. I will update again later. Blessings! Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- 97 L is on the Way |
Hi! Here we are, some believe and some don't that we are going to have a mini deluge. The NWS said we can get as much as 2.5 inches of rain with the whole works! Sounds dramatic! It's moving too fast to form into a cyclone. On the other hand, 96 L was moving slower and has more of a potential to develop. That one may not threaten us. For now, we have to deal with 97 L. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Keep an eye on 96 L !! |
Hi! This new invest is posing a threat for us in the Caribbean. It bears watching. I am hoping it does not slip to the south so that we can get some much needed rain. The photos show why. As for 97L, that one is already above the islands; unless it recurves, we should be in the clear. Keep track of 96L! Have a good night, and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- What? The First invest! |
Hi! That seems to be the evident concern of our pet, Xavi! However, 96 L may not be a concern at all. It's more than 3000 miles away and most likely will be going out to sea, or pass far from us. We do have some tropical waves coming our way. Hopefully the one on Sunday, which is a stronger one, will bring us more rain. The previous showers did not benefit our cisterns enough, so today the water truck was making yet another visit. We all should be concerned about future potential storms and be sure to prepare well. Have a good night, and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Early Arrival |
Hi! You never know with the weather which way it's going to go. It rained through Monday evening instead of Tuesday, but on Tuesday evening all of a sudden a huge black cloud appeared and I thought this was it! Not a drop! However, it was a great photo opportunity. Earlier, the Agave plant with it's needle tips was a decorative touch to the setting sun. Two more waves on the way, one on Friday and a stronger one on Sunday. That one is being monitored by the GFS model guidance. There's going to be more activity with each day. It's the season to be hurricane ready. Have a good night, and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |

- Rainy Evening |
Hi! Either the TW arrived early, or this was a preview of tomorrow's weather when it is actually expected. It was perfect timing, too. I was watering with an extended hose from the tank a "mile" away when it started to rain. This is a weak wave according to the NWS compared with the "vigorous" one on the weekend. Another good soaking would be exactly what we need. There is a Low Pressure System coming off the coast of Africa (1009 mb). The one before dissipated, mostly due to the dust. It goes to show that when the dust ends the activity will ramp up. In the meantime have good nights, and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Dust Free |
Hi! Free of Saharan dust today, but it remains in the forecast for the next days after the passage of a tropical wave on Tuesday. Last night we had some very heavy showers and our sky was a pretty blue again. It was a very nice day. Hope yours was as well. Have a good night and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Long Range Models.. |
Hi, I hope everyone with interests in the Caribbean and the Mainland have taken a few minutes to read Dave's post on July 20th. The long range models, he said, forecast tropical formation at the end of July with the possibility of a hurricane in three weeks. Though these models are often inaccurate, he said, now is the time we start to look towards the West Coast of Africa. The sea is warm, the Saharan dust will soon cease, wind shear absent, La Niña kicking in, all the ingredients are there. Are we ready for EARL, and FIONA, and the others? If not, it's late. The heat all around the globe is extreme, our hurricanes can be extremely "frightful"as we have seen in other countries. Let's pray and hope for a safe season for everyone. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Hot! Hot! Hot? |
Yes, and getting hotter. The ice has melted, so it will be hot! We have some delicious breezes that beckon a hammock for a long nap. The Lagoon in the photos is quite refreshing. Christiansted is in the background in the first one. This serene scene can change dramatically in the next few weeks. Read "On the Horizon" in Stormcarib if you haven't as yet. I only saw it today. The Atlantic is looking active and with no wind shear or dust, EARL and FIONA can form in a matter of weeks. Time to prepare! May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- TW Brushed By.. |
Hi! The photos show the brushing after a night of flashes and rumblings. We hope for better with each tropical wave. We just have to be careful what we wish for. This could be the year when La Niña will make a terrible difference in our neck of the woods. Let's not become complacent, let's prepare. The dry branches at the top of the African Tulip Tree were stripped bare by the 130 mph winds of Hurricane Omar in 2008, many other branches were torn off; there was a lot of damage during that last hurricane. We have to be ready. Have a good night, and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Still Waiting... |
Hi! That's right! Except for a few drops, no rain whatsoever; however, "numerous showers" are still in the forecast. This morning there was a hint of a rainbow in the distance above the Divi tree and turtle domain in the middle of the driveway. The second photo shows the on going landscaping work in the lower garden. It can use some rain and I hope it is still coming. Well, one thing is certain, there are many Tropical Waves coming off the coast of Africa and they're all coming this way! Have a good night and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Weather Cats |
Hi! Here we have Olli (blk) and Xavi, fearful of storms, even just a tropical wave, which can contain thunder! This is quoted from the NWS "High moisture content associated to this tropical wave in combination with an unstable environment will result in showers and thunderstorms across the local islands through at least Thursday morning." That sounds like RAIN ! We will not get our hopes up until we see it. In the meanwhile, the pets have nothing to fear but Fear itself. Have a good night and may God bless us all. - C l o u d s ! |
Hi! It was not a cloudy day by any means, there were just clusters of interesting clouds. This week, between some trofiness, and a couple of TWs, there should be a good chance of rain. Right? We shall see. Have a good night and may God bless America, -one nation under God, as we head into 4 very stormy months. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Tropical Showers |
Hi! Today everyone got showered upon at different times of the day. This seems to be the pattern for the next days until the tropical wave next Thursday. It looks larger than the previous ones. The SAL will remain for now sometimes less, other times more. The photo were taken in the early morning and late afternoon. Have a good night and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Tropical Wave vs Saharan Dust |
Well, the dust won again. No rain, just a hazy, partly cloudy and hot day. There's always rain in the forecast, so it's hopeful that a repeat performance of last year's drought will not happen. Likewise, I decided to try another method of growing tomatoes. Maybe we can finally have a successful harvest one day. Always try and try again, which is what I'm doing with the landscaping in the lower garden as well, but we need rain. It makes a big difference. Hope you all had a wonderful day. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |

- Phantom Wave..? |
We ended this beautiful day at Shoys Beach, our favorite. The sea is hurricane ready, warm. However, I don't see anything out there on the map. Not even a hint of the tropical wave that was forecast to enter the Caribbean on Saturday, yet, it is still on track. It must be one of those phantoms. We'll see tomorrow. The Saharan dust is relentless, so any possibility for showers could be severely limited. Hope you had a good day in your neck of the woods. Have a good night and may God bless us all. - Soothing Evening Showers |
Hi! These frequent but brief passing showers are such a blessing. It beats watering. With my on-going landscaping and the transfer of ground cover to re-create what was lost with the drought last year, these showers are indeed a blessing. Every bit of moisture helps the plants to grow and spread. Today I also filled two large bags with ground cover for senior friends who want to eliminate trimming on a slope. That will do it. I got that tip from a House&Garden magazine some years a ago. It really works! We should be getting rain from another tropical wave on Saturday. That makes garden work so much easier. Showers came by as I wrote. Have a good night and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- No Trough for Us |
Hello! No trough, no rain. That was disappointing, but understandable with all the dust in the atmosphere. The tropical wave expected for Saturday will probably get snuffed out as well unless the dust disappears. In the meanwhile, I sometimes sit on the bench near the oldest Divi Divi Tree we have and wonder how old is old. It has a very wide canopy and a very wise trunk that has been through much in its lifespan. Will it survive a strong storm if that should happen this year? I will invite someone from agriculture to take a look at our tree before it's no longer there. Have a good night and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |

- Weather Kitten Fun |
This morning, our adopted kitten, XABI, was playing with the weatherman on the screen. At the same time you can see our weather forecast for the week. A trough is expected overnight into Wednesday. A tropical wave is expected this weekend. It all depends on the Saharan dust. I must say I'm happy to still write today. I was protected from electrocution last night. Imagine trying to put out a fire in an electric oven with a wet dish towel! Thank God for life! Have a good night and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Weather plants |
Well, it's been a very pleasant 41st day of the H season, especially late afternoon and evening. During this week we should be having a trough passing by giving us a chance of rain. Today's photos have to do with using this ground cover to prevent erosion. We had a dangerous situation some years ago, where the slope behind our house was eroding at an alarming rate. I could not enjoy a good rainfall while at the same time expecting a landslide, so I contacted my connection at DPNR (Public Works). Securing the slope, he said, would have been difficult and costly, so he suggested the next best thing. Seeing that we had so much ground cover, we could use it to stop the erosion by spreading it out on the top so that the rain would hit the plants not the ground itself. Heavy rain pounding on ground causes it to break apart, but the plants would protect the ground as indeed it has, so far. This ground cover can be thrown wherever you want it, no need to plant it. Have a good night and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Tropical Wave to the South |
Good Sunday Night, All. I was happy for the visitors that we did not get the rain. It would've been lots of rain. As it passed well to the south of us, we got the clouds, the hazy skies, obviously dust, and a little sprinkle at 6 p.m. That was it for TW #2. As the " bowling alley" opens up and more and more waves shoot across the Atlantic we are going to have some passing through us for sure. We must start our survival preparations. Storms have increased in size. Be ready, not sorry. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Soggy Ground |
Tropical Wave #1 moved in today with heavy showers at intervals. Easy to pull those talk grass plugs out. Those will be replaced with large ground cover. My landscaping has come along and it's looking lots improved since the drought last year when the ground was left bare. It so happens that deer love that ground cover as it's very succulent. So far so good. There should be at least a couple of waves passing through each week. Tropical Wave#2 was forecast to arrive on Sunday. We shall see. Have a good night and may God bless us all. Isabel Some clouds above our new cinema under construction. Sent from my iPhone |
- Tropical Nights... |
Can only be experienced in the tropics; so many sounds, including the distant love songs coming from a tavern. This is the time to enjoy the quiet before the potential storms later on. This weekend two tropical systems are forecast to enter the Caribbean. First, a weak one on Saturday, then a stronger one on Sunday. Looking across the Atlantic to Africa there is a trail of TWs on the way. That means rain, which is good. So, on this note, I'll bid you a good night and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Turtle Weather |
Today was perfect for our turtles, no wind, just a pleasant breeze. So, they shared a meal together. They love rain, it makes good mud, and they love mud. It's hard to keep them shiny-looking with their life style. Next tropical wave and chance for rain in during this coming weekend. That should make them and all of us happy. So, here they are. Have a good night and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Trailing Moisture |
The photos reflect our Wednesday morning weather. Moisture was trailing the tropical wave with some hefty showers. Later the Saharan dust invaded the area. I'm keeping an eye towards the coast of Africa from where eventually shall come a few challenges this hurricane season. There is already some thing to watch as mentioned by Dave in his July 4th post. We are already in the 36th day of the hurricane season. During this month we should be in full hurricane preparedness mode. Have a good night and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Anything else on the way? |
A couple of blobs (monsoon troffs) are stepping off the coast of Africa that bear watching. With the Saharan dust in place it's doubtful that anything will get through bigger than a few rain showers. We still have to monitor these systems to see what direction they are taking. Today was rather pleasant after the refreshing night showers. Hope we will have more of those soon! Have a good night and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Tropical Wave Changes |
Happy 4th of July! Hope it has a been a great one for all of America and wherever Freedom is celebrated. As far as our weather today, a mixed bag, quite breezy, with threatening clouds, some sprinkles all ahead of what we expected to be a bigger rain maker than the last one; but it's done it again. The Wave is losing some of it's former promise and looks as if we may get even less rain. However, whatever we can get is much appreciated. So, tonight it should arrive through Tuesday morning. We shall hope. Be well, be happy, and may God bless America and each one of us in a special way. Isabel🇺🇸 Sent from my iPhone |
- Best Wishes |
That's right! Best wishes for a safe July 4th and rest of month in terms of activity. All the tropical waves seem to be headed in this direction. The next one on Tuesday should be stronger with more convection than the last. In the meanwhile, I expect that after the soaking rain on Saturday our fruit trees should produce an abundance of fruit. Have a good night and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Tropical Wave Arrives! |
Good Saturday afternoon to all! Our otherwise dry and tranquil weather was dramatized for several hours with the passing of a tropical wave which seemed directly overhead, at first, waves of quick moving showers, thunder, then more frequent heavier showers with all the works! That was this morning, now at mid afternoon it's overcast and dry. Thank God for the wedding party.! The ceremony should be taking place as I write. The next tropical wave I understand from the NWS in San Juan is coming in on Monday night into Tuesday with more convection than this one and lots more rain. We need all we can get for now. Have a great rest of day and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Morning Rain |
Part of the tropical wave came through this morning and the rest is expected over night and Saturday. We look forward to it. It makes a big difference! Amazing how so much of it falls in other places causing such devastating flooding. As I write the rain is pouring! Just as was forecasted to do. Have a good night and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- The Elusive Tropical Waves |
Good night, all! The dry, brownish lawn, the droopy branches, and giant leaves, are signs of a prolonged dry spell. The tropical waves go by so fast if they get here at all, that they hardly wet the ground. Now, I'm hoping it will get better as we go. This year it's still way better than it was last year, so we are truly grateful. We harvested loads of Mespels of which many people enjoyed. I'm hoping that the next two tropical waves will bring copious amounts of rain so that the Sugar Apples and Yellow Plums will do well, and our cisterns be replenished. It's been very breezy; sometimes the wind contributes to the lack of rain by blowing away the clouds. Right now the wind is howling out there. Maybe rain is on the way! May God bless us all. - Colors and Feathery Clouds |
Hello again, I did not realize that I wrote so late last night that it was already today, so you get two for the price of one! For those of you, like myself, who might be interested in Meteorology, I would like to turn your attention to Dr. Masters' Blog--A GALLERY OF TROPICAL INFLUENCES SUCH AS MJO, CCKW, TIW, and LA NIÑA. Each one is described, explained and make known that we can be affected by them this season. So, for those of us in the area and along the US Coastline, it would be good to read this in-depth article. Within this blog are other articles as well relating to these tropical influences. VERY interesting! During the last couple of seasons we have been protected by wind shear, well, this captured my attention right away, "The shift toward La Niña should lead to reduced vertical wind shear over the Atlantic thus favoring a greater amount of tropical cyclone treatment." So, with that, I'll bid you good night, and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- RAIN ! |
What an awesome site that was today before noon! A heavy downpour of short duration was the blessing we needed. During the remainder of the day there were brief showers and over night more rain is expected. A tropical wave is due to enter the local area on the weekend. We look forward to many blessings, hope you are too. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- The Airport Cloud-Man |
Take a look at that cloud and see a face there. It was right over the airport at mid afternoon today. I thought the clouds were interesting but I did not see a face. Those clouds have a lot to do with the weather pattern lately, always rain in the forecast, rain clouds with no rain. There are two more tropical waves approaching one to the south and a more promising one later in the weekend, but will it deliver? The more I look at the cloud-man, the more it looks like a cat.! Be well, be happy, and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Not a Chance! |
Good night, folks! The photo does not reflect today's mood. I like it because blue is my favorite color. My husband was disappointed today that we did not get any of the 90% chance of rain in the forecast. It looked as if it could, but it didn't. During the week there are some hopeful signs of rain. Climate change has changed a lot of things, but when the face of the earth is renewed, it will all be back to normal. Be well, be happy. May God bless us all! Isabel Sent from my e iPhone |
- Rumblings...? |
That was the state of the afternoon. Threatening clouds, rumbles in the distance, a drop or two? We have a 40% chance of rain for today/tonight I hope to get a bit of moisture out of this trough. Sleep well and May the God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- The TUTT Visited |
The Tot? No, the Tropical Upper Tropospheric Trough passed through on the 24th dragging all rain to the south of us. For a while it looked as if we were in for it. Later on we could have more rain than we can handle. Thinking back on the unnamed storm that rained havoc on Dominica. Let's be ready for any and everything, and may God bless us all! - Shhhh! The Sun is going to Bed |
Hi! And am I ever glad he does not stay up any later.! By the looks of that sunset you can tell it was a very nice day. Let's enjoy these blessings while we have them. I would like you to read Jonathan Belles report on Weather Underground about these early named storms and what it means for the rest of the season. This is what I jotted down, "la Niña, a favorable pattern for tropical cyclones in the Atlantic is forecast to develop as we move toward the the peak of the hurricane season." With that I guess we can expect some massive action, and then, maybe not. Read it. Be happy with those who are happy, and weep with those who weep. And may God bless us all. - Weather Concerns |
Good night, All! This day (22nd) was great. In addition to the good weather, breezy, and comfortable, it was a very happy birthday for my daughter! Some people are happy and some are sad, with reason. When the weather is "bad" I can't help thinking of the homeless people and cute kittens like the one in the photo. Where do they go? Hopefully they have shelter. I see quite a few waves coming from Africa and a 1010 mb Low just coming off the coast. The Saharan Air Layer is in place as a shield. Will it do the job again? The SAL is a blessing and a curse another time. We need rain without the storm attached. Let's pray and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Morning and Afternoon |
Hello Again! Today's weather was a mixed bag, but the best part of it was the rain. I think the ground got a good soaking. Exactly what the fruit trees need. There's a 90% chance of rain after midnight. I'm not holding my breath. I'll be very grateful if it does. During this month and July the tropical waves are lower to the south; later that's going to be another story. That's also when the "disturbances" appear and form. Rather not look too far ahead. Have a good night and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- GRAY! The Color of the Day! |
That's right! No rain! Just gray, sometimes stormy looking skies. And what happens when it does not rain? Take a look at our Papaya tree. I was so happy we had a fruit bearing tree again; by it's sad appearance we could very well lose it. Tropical Storm Danielle, the 4th storm of the season made a brief appearance as it approached the coast of Mexico. See how active. We have to seriously prepare before August when the waves from Africa will come one after the other with potential to develop. Let's hope and pray it won't be a bad season. May God bless us all. - Stormy Night..? |
Best wishes to all the fathers out there. Hope it was a very happy day for you. This day has been on and off as far as the weather goes. At the moment it' 80 degrees, mostly cloudy, with a 70% chance of rain, but rain is not expected until 5:30 a.m. Another tropical wave is passing through on Monday. We shall see. |
It sure looks like a pig. Just on time for the Father's Day roast. Oh no, he's much too cute. Our Father' s Day could be rainy for part of the day starting in the morning and then later in the day with possible thunderstorms. All of this is kind of wait and see. A couple of tropical waves are forecast to enter the Caribbean early next week. 94L is threatening to develop in the Bay Campeche moving WNW. Far away from us. Let's hope that "the girl" does not affect our weather this hurricane season. It is already active with 3 named storms and a potential one in the GOM. May God bless all the Father's out there with a very happy day surrounded by family and friends. Enjoy your roast! Blessings on all of us so that we can enjoy together. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |

Thank you, weather friends. Like they say birds of a feather flock together. I do appreciate receiving mail from all of you kind folks out there. This morning, it was beautiful, this afternoon, it was beautiful, and in addition suddenly got a heavy rainfall, short but sweet. Then late this afternoon Mother Hen said goodbye wandering further away with her chicks. It made me reflect again that Jesus mentioned the hen more than two thousand years ago..see Matthew 23:37. Now going back to the weather. Is it going to be influenced by the boy? Or the girl? That is still the question. Have a wonderful Friday and may God bless is all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |

G'morning! Mother Hen takes her newly hatched chicks for short outings while the weather is still agreeable for such. - Clouds, Empty Clouds.. |
It was hot with stormy looking clouds above, which did not produce rain, just ghost clouds. By this coming Sunday we should have real clouds with real rain from the tropical wave in the forecast. However, as long as there is Saharan Dust in the atmosphere it can severely limit the chance of rain. Anyway, Sunday should always be sunny. Now I have a question for the Stormcarib followers in the Caribbean. What kind of tree would this be in the photos? I know it's not Breadfruit as someone suggested. Then what is it? Praise God for all our fruit and vegetables. May we always be blessed. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |

The Iguana in the photo blends in with the lawn that's starting to look dry. So many thick clouds and no rain! It's scary to think there could be a repetition of last year's drought. I hope and pray that that will not be the case. May God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- A Fuzzy / Sunny Day |
Another very warm day with partly sunny skies due to the so called weak tropical wave in the area. Some threatening clouds came and went, but it was friendly enough to have that outing at the Lagoon Park with my niece from Arkansas. The sole peacock in the park listened as we talked to him. No squawking! Gosh, peacocks let out the most horrendous sound! Not today. It was enjoying the day as we were. Have a good night and may God bless us all. Isabel |
- Sky Watching |
Anything going on up there? Now, at night? Nothing that we can see, but it's fascinating. Every now and then something moves and it happens to be an airplane on its way somewhere . In this daytime photo I was trying to catch the airplane that was taking my kids away on vacation. Can't see it. Can you?Tomorrow we should be having some "moisture" which usually means nothing. Anyway, I have some outdoor plans; if that does not work out I certainly won't blame the weather. There are more dry days than wet at the moment. So, let's take it a day at a time, be happy with what we have and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- Trough and Tropical Wave |
Good night, folks! This morning we had some rain showers courtesy of a trough. I could not resist taking this photo. On Sunday into Monday a weak tropical wave will bring an increase of showers to the local area. Looking ahead I noticed that the Tropical waves are lining up to cross the the Atlantic. If the dry air can combat them successfully they cannot develop into threatening storms. Let's pray and may God bless us all. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- The Green Desert |
Good night, Folks! It's currently a cool 78 degrees on my little hill, but during the day the heat can be intense, like today. So, everything is green and beautiful with desert like conditions. That's my opinion. I am looking forward to the next tropical wave which should arrive Sunday night into Monday. In the photo I was sitting on a bench when I took that picture. Above, is the wide canopy of our largest, oldest Divi-Divi Tree. It has survived many a storm including Hurricane Hugo which ravaged the island in 1989. I should try to get the whole tree into one photo by itself. This one was not intended to focus on the tree. It has to be well over 100 yrs old. Be well, and may God bless us all. |
We have one. She sits on her eggs through wind and rain and stormy nights. She is supposed to. I was told that a hen sits on her eggs until they hatch-approx. 21 days. She laid the eggs next to our grotto at the base of a Divi-Divi tree. Well, today the eggs were exposed, 10 eggs! Later in the afternoon she was back on the eggs! She has to eat after all! May God bless us and all His creatures. Isabel Sent from my iPhone |
- A Good Soaking |
Good night, all! Just when the stars in the were indicating no rain. There was a big flash as if someone heralding good news. The tropical wave was approaching. Rumbles of thunder followed and the night was spent in soaking the ground. Great! Last year our one, solitary Mango tree dried up. It stands, as you see, as a testimony to how terrible a thing, a drought can be. Farmers lost many fruit trees and cattle. Thank God this year we are enjoying a wetter pattern, the results of which are absolutely beautiful. May God bless us all! Isabel Through the arch down the path. Sent from my iPhone |
- Waiting for the T Wave |

- Tropical Waves |
We are currently expecting the sweet relief of a tropical wave, which should bring us some much needed rain, always needed for the cisterns so that we don't have to buy it by the truckful. By tomorrow afternoon we should be seeing and feeling the effects of the TW. It will be followed by another wave on Sunday into Monday. COLIN is soaking Florida. - Tropical Storm COLIN |
Well, well, the third named storm already into the first week of June!. So, the Hurricane Season started off real hot! What does that mean for the rest of the season?. As far as the folks here, they think it's going to be something to the contend with because of the weather pattern and the heat we've been having. The experts only know so much and they are trying to inform us as best they can. I must say they were right on target with COLIN. They said it would form on Sunday evening and it did. There is a tropical wave battling it's way towards us. It's big, so it might be able to get through the remaining bit of dust. Perhaps the change of weather for Tuesday has to do with that wave. We shall see. In the meanwhile, we enjoy what we have, be thankful, and keep smiling. May God bless us all. Isabel |

Good Saturday night Folks! We have some pesky clouds hanging around these pass few days. It looks like rain, but it doesn't and so on. The clouds above the The Cay in the photo is a classic example. In the meanwhile, 93 L in the Western Atlantic is looking rather serious and could very well become the 3rd named storm of the season. It's a matter of time. In the meanwhile, no rain in the forecast until maybe next Tuesday, just those heavy, but empty clouds. Have a good night and may God bless us all. Isabel I Sent from my iPhone |

This abundance is thanks to the frequent rain showers we've been having so far this year. It's nice to share, so that's what we're doing. Wish I could share with you too. Well at least you can see this photo. Blessings! Isabel Attachment:

A day well spent with a hundred cares. The voluminous clouds were empty so we haven't seen rain for a few days. The disturbance in the Western Caribbean is threatening to become a Tropical Storm in the Gulf by Monday. Batten down the hatches? Or hutches ? Something like that. It is forecast to cross Florida north of Tampa. Very heavy rain can be expected with this system. Be ready! May God bless you and all ah we. Isabel Attachment:

The 2016 Hurricane Season is definitely off and running. We'd better catch up. What is this I hear about a possible Colin which could even arrive as a Cat 1 in Florida? I hope our Floridians friends are paying attention. This is only the beginning. So keep an eye to the weather and do the right thing. PREPARE.! May God bless us one and all. Isabel Attachment:

- June 1st - Hello there! |
Greetings to all the Storm Carib friends! We seem to be off to a busy start! Wow! Alex started it well before in January and Bonnie just exited and is trying a comeback and so on. La Ninia could be more than a hand full. The experts might be underestimating "The Girl". It will probably be a year of surprises, just hope we are all prepared. The world has gone crazy and so has the weather. There's no telling what can happen next. Are we prepared? That's a good question. We're always kind of slow because things don't usually happen around here until August or so. This year can be very different. Watch out ! Those of you on the mainland, you have a lot of flooding to deal with, tornadoes, wicked weather brewing everywhere. Our weather has been wetter this year than last, so that the trees are producing an abundance of fruit. It has been hot and humid, what people tend to call "hurricane weather". We'll take it a day at a time and monitor anything suspicious. Take care of yourselves..Be safe! We'll try to do the same. May God bless us all. Isabel |
