Subject: News from Martinique

It has been raining really hard since the middle of the afternoon and there were incessant gusts of winds. We were without power for 6 hours and it has just come back. Things don't seem to calm down. School will be closed tomorrow .No flooding for the moment. No thunder.

Here in Martinique we had had gusty winds since 1.00am. We have just had some rain but it didn’t last. For the moment gusts of wind remain the main feature. Schools are closed and we are waiting for the next forecast from Météo France to know more about the track of 97L.
