Good night...Just looked at the latest stormcarib...wow. Our day here was quiet, overcast, some drizzle, an occasional downpour of a minute or so. Cooled down a little for the moment. I thought this would pass without incident, but as I always say, you never know. Quiet at the moment... To our neighbor Dominica,, as I said before, thoughts and prayers for the loss of loved ones....I hope the compassion of other countries brings some kind of "normal" back to your lives. May my God bless you all. Have a safe weekend everyone.

Just a short note....As I said yesterday, we had a day of light steady rain, which ended early evening. This morning, our rain gauge was 3.2 inches. This was in Olveston, where we live. I'm sure amounts varied, as they usually do throughout the island.
Stay safe those in the path.

First of all, my thoughts and prayers to the people in Dominica who have suffered loss, along with others we have not heard about. You just never know what any storm will bring your way.
As for us, around 5 this morning, we started getting small gusts of wind and a little rain, which continued through the morning. Late morning, the rain stopped and the winds calmed. Around noon, the wind started up along with a constant gentle rain. No downpours. Wind gusts became a little more pronounced, and within the last ten minutes, have become stronger. I am guessing this pattern will continue, but as I said above, you never know.
To those in the future path of Erika, be safe...

Good evening,
Not much to report from here today. Had a few "small" gusts of wind throughout the day. Thought I might get a load of laundry done as the winds were blowing, and the "dryer" was working. As most know, do a load of laundry when the skies are partly cloudy, and when the laundry is almost dry, up comes a passing quick shower. Take it down, put it up, take it down again, put it up. Yea, that happened!!!
Looks like the showers will begin tonight, hopefully, and pass without incident, but still never know what may happen. Again to our neighbors, stay safe.
Have a good evening, and we'll be in touch tomorrow.....

Good morning...
The rain started around 4am yesterday, and continued off and on throughout the day. No really strong wind gusts. Late afternoon had a thunderstorm, but passed quickly. We lost power for a short period of time near dusk. Total rain for us was 2 1/4 inches Hopefully all the neighboring islands also enjoyed some much needed rain. Looks like I'll be back here in a few days...

Good night everyone,
Yesterday we had an overcast day, little wind, and very hazy over the sea. Today, the most beautiful day, blue skies, sunny, "hot", and the sunset had the pink and blue reflected in the clowds
I played tennis this week, and my opponent said, "we need a hurricane without the wind". So true.
It is the worst feeling from day to day wondering where the path of a storm will go. Sometimes things can change within 24 hours. You just never know.
Tomorrow will give us more information, and maybe it will go a little more north.
And so I say again, stay safe...
Regards Ken

Greetings from Montserrat...
As most of you have experienced the same dry hot summer that we have, we all look forward to some rain, but not a hurricane. We all watch for any change in direction, all wishing we would miss the blunt of the storm. Unfortunately, it will happen to some of our neighbors, if not us. We've gone through it before, and we will again. Never to early to prepare....Stay safe, we'll be in touch.
Regards, Ken
