Well this is a non event – we had about 3 bands of rain and wind and now nothing (sun is shining and the sky is blue).  We have had about .83” of rain since midnight.  Seems the North and North east side really did get the worst of it but even that wasn’t that bad no matter what you see from Houston – they flood with any storm.  Our daughter east of Houston didn’t get even an inch so we just have to see what happens tonight as it passes to the north.  We will always stay alert and aware of storms but are thankful this wasn’t a bad storm.

Stay safe through this hurricane season.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well  preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini  in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming WAH-HOO what a ride!....and the last check you write should bounce.

Gert,

Use as you wish.

From the radar here the center of TS Bill will cross the Texas coastline between Port O’Connor and Rockport, Texas or about 25 miles north of us.  We just had our first band of rain and wind.  Wind was 20 kts. gusting to 32 kts.  The tide is very high – we just came from checking on our boat and had to move a few lines.  The only problem for us is the possibility of heavy rain.  We had so much in early May that the ground is still saturated in some areas and any now will just cause more flooding.  I know that 20 inches above normal for some sounds like nothing when you get 120” a year but for Texas that’s a lot.

If anything changes I will email Gert later
