Good day everyone
Prayer and wishes for speedy recovery to our sister islands in the Bahamas. Our hearts go out to you as Joaquin heads our way.
I took a drive earlier in the day the north shore was still very calm. Some people were actually swimming in Shelly Bay. Travelling Hamilton and Smith Parishes roads on the north were quiet and calm. The south roads were starting to get some more blustery weather. John Smith Bay was very pretty with lots of wave action and a few gusts that made me stumble as they hit me.
Many of the grocery stores were still open for last minute shoppers.
Bermuda is ready, as ready as we can be. All school will be closed tomorrow and the ERO has put all Emergency Services on alert. Some regiment officers have been embodied.
I am not looking forward to this event.. I was one of the last to get my power back after last year's two storms. The thought of a month without electricity and being displaced from my home is not a memory I want to repeat.
Will keep you updated as I can.
So far so good. I am going to put supper in the oven soon.

I have attached a funny picture I have entitled "the one that isn't going to get away"
