Good morning Another surprise coming from the East, nobody couldn't imagine that a weak Tropical wave would develop as it did in only one day!! ... Hope this sudden develop doesn't change for worst, but as our temperature was so high lately (32-33°C); we certainly need some rain.. some rain not a Tropical Depression..!!! ... Good morning Some heavy rain in the mornings and in the afternoons with a terrific weather between them is all that we'd had lately We are waiting for another tropical wave late in the night or tomorrow morning Temperature so far 29 - 30 degrees, windy only when it rains ... so far .. so calm!! Last week was very very hot, with 32°C of temperature each day !! Today our sky was overcasted and hazy. Some thunders were heard in the distance in the morning and some were so near!!! It rained for some moments but there was no wind, I think it will rain again but heavily this time!! Monica Jean-Vincent Martinique

While Ernesto is going directly through Florida, here in martinique is hot hot hot, there are some little rain no wind at all and Temperature is 29°C - 30°C There are two new waves approaching one of them is not so important but the other seems well organized and with some rotation, we will watch it near!!! Our sky is overcasted since 16:00 hrs, strong rain and gusty winds were presents by squalls (35 kph) as Tropical Depression Five was formed before passing through us This night we will have a significant quantity of rainfall and maybe some thunders. I hope Ernesto will not cause so many damages while passing through the islands in the caribbean sea Monica Jean-Vincent Martinique

Good afternoon Heavy rainfalls, some thunders that were heard in the distance with the sun trying to stay out a little more, that is what it has been happening since the morning!!! A New Strong Tropical Wave that seems to be big and well-defined is approaching, but NHC says it's no going to become a Depression but will bring a lot of rain and thunderstorms. Good morning It seems to be a beautiful day, no wind, no move at this time, no sound, even birds have stoped to sing, Are they in holidays? Some bizarre clouds can be seen in the horizon, and a hazy blue and covered sky; sun is trying to fight a place with these strange clouds It's calm and begin to be hot (28°C) a little more dry and hot than yesterday at the same hour, but knowing Chris is at the NE it's logical !! Our friends (Saharan dust and wind shear) begin to be tired to protect us .. Even "Montagne Pelée " doesn't want to be raise early... anymore Monica Jean-Vincent Martinique

Good morning! It is good to have some rain, but yesterday it didn't rain so much only sun has gone to sleep early and today in spite of having the good intention to stay out all day it was covered by big clouds and heavy rainfall began again. Sky is grey and the day become night but temperature is 25°C and in the Horizon, sun stills fighting with some clouds that don't leave him to shine.... maybe later. Monica Jean-Vincent Martinique

Since yesterday's afternoon Rain began in some parts of the island; and late at night, a Tropical wave has arrived with gusty winds of 60-70 kph. They were so strong that windows echoed and trembled when they strucked them like whips. Some thunders were heard but far away. Now we have 26 C temperature, it doesn't rain in Fort de France. Wind has calmed down itself since this morning but it will be stronger according to the forecasts and satellital images. We needed rain and we will have it! Good morning!! Atlantic Hurricane Season has begun but weather doesn't change so much; except today with an ovescasted sky, only 28 C. No rain in this moment but gusty winds of 50 - 60 kph. After a long dry season with high temperatures (33-34), cleared sky and little rain; we began to have more rain, some fresh air, bigger clouds and much covered skies, that gives us a little more coolness sensation notwithstanding temperature is not going down. Atlantic hurricane 2006's season is coming soon and we must all well prepared, I am so glad with the new look of the website I liked it as it was and I like it now also, changes are always good!! I hope this new season will not be as 2005's, unfortunately some people think is might be worst Monica Jean-Vincent martinique
