This is seems to be the official results form Ernesto
hitting Haiti.

4 dead
3 missing
500 homeless
100 homes destroyed
500 homes damaged.

This is a lot less than what I expected.

Hi Gert;
I'm in the north central mountains of Haiti in Pignon, we've had just rains the past 24 hours which have now eased off.  Rains started Saturday around noon.  No winds to speak of.
I hear from friends in Les Cayes in the south it is raining heavily there but have heard nothing else.  Mudslides will be the main issue as the earth tries to absorb all of this.
God bless
Debbie Lucien

Port-au-Prince Sunday AUG 27 3:45 local.
The rain and wind started last night about 8:00pm.
Quite a bit of wind. We heard several transformers
blow up. The rain lasted all night and all day
Sunday. Light to moderate showers.
Our area of Port au Prince did not get any flooding.
Our cistern did not even get full. However the
Southern coast seems to have gotten pounded. I am
hearing quite a few reports of flooding from Jacmel
all the way to Les Cayes. Most people there probably
had little to no warning and, if they did, could do
little to prepare. It will take a couple of days to
get a full report of what has happened in that area.
