Made passage back to Guadeloupe
just in time and, as expected, the “big weather” is here, (albeit
some 12 hrs later than expected). Torrential rain and we are reading wind gusts
of 50kts in the harbour in Pointe a Pitre (at 10.00 am today). I suspect this
is quite localised as a storm, but it is a bad pattern as a result of the wave –
this would be dangerous for any small yachts at sea around Marie Gallant and Les
Saintes. Stay indoors, wrapped up and beware the quite violent thunder and lightening!
With Kind Regards
