We had a lot of rain and wind last night, but this afternoon we have only
wind and occasional rain. The wind isn't even enough to make us want to
move the plants from the verandah. Current temperature is 84 degrees, F. We
suspect this one will fizzle out, but are keeping our eyes on it just in
case.

Hurricane season is upon us, and the rainy season has begun on Dominica.
For the past couple of days, we have had tons of rain--it would seem that
we have a bit of a squall stuck over us. Last night, all the ground
termites got washed out of their nests and wound up on everyone's verandahs
like black blankets. Let's all hope for a quiet hurricane season!
