Today a partial dome collapse event occured at the Soufriere Hills volcano. This was a pretty big event with ash rising to at least 50,000ft! Luckily the ash is going towards the east, not towards other islands. It looks like you can easily see it on the GOES satellite image on the left (Feb.11,2010 20:45UTC).
