Greetings to all. I am pleased to not report for the whole season thus far from the Island of Montserrat. We have had a very long hot summer, little rain, but our hills remain green as green can be, thanks to the natural spring water beneath us. This new passing system, has brought us cloudy weather most of the day, with rain off and on. It has now become quite windy, well breezy, and as we know, looking at a radar map, one never knows where this system may go. Nothing to worry at this point for us. If the wind continues, and the temperature drops, we will close the louvers and have an oven meal!!  To all other islands, stay safe, be prepared, and know that you are looked after by your neighbors...

Best to all,
Ken

Good night everyone,

Our rain started about 1:30 AM today, and did its little spurts throughout the night. Grey clouds today, occasional rain, sun, a rainbow, back to clouds. So far looks like the thunder is to our north. Quiet at this hour, just tree frogs...always for me a pleasant way to fall asleep. More of the system may pass over us through the night, as is predicted, and will be welcome rains. Stay safe any of our neighbors, as they say it may bring a little more rain along the way. Have a great night everyone from your reporter in Montserrat....

Good night everyone on the surrounding islands and our friends abroad. Montserrat is another island in need of a little rain. Waiting for this system was like waiting for paint to dry here!! I did everything so far to try to produce a little rain...morning laundry, water plants, wash the RAV...Had a few spurts of a shower, just kept the dust down, till seconds later when the sun came out. Still hoping for a few showers tonight, and it looks like we may get "something". With hope, we may get a tail end of rain. Stay safe everyone beyond us as the system passes your way....

Ken
