Yesterday afternoon (1:30-3 PM) Culebra received 2.6 inches of rain in an hour 
and one half, with wind gust of 38 MPH --- A real "gulley washer" and all our 
cisterns are full!

for the month of September.
Usually this month brings us the most
rainfall (average=7inches).

Holla,  The rainfall total for August in Culebra
is 3.6 inches.  This is exactly the normal rate for
August, and 2 inches of that is from TS Dean.

- Tropical Wave

This morning at 5 AM a half-hour band of thunderstorms passed through Culebra, 
leaving 1/2 inch of rain with wind gust of 28 mph.  It's amazing that this is 
all we got from this tropical wave.  The lightning and rain will certainly

Holla,

After my report at 7:30 PM last night, winds died down and the rain stopped at 
10:30 PM, with only some brief showers during the night.
The total rain was exactly 2 inches for this storm and the highest gust was the 
reported 48mph.  We are glad to have the rain and all our tanks are full!  
Thanks to our friends in St. Lucia and Antigua for keeping us informed in

Holla,   Tropical Storm Dean started to affect Culebra, PR
at 2:30 PM this afternoon.  We received winds of 30mph with 
a gust of 48mph at 4 PM.  So far, (now 7:30 PM) we have recived
1 1/2 inch of rain.  Glad to be on the south side of this
